The Funding Is Out There! Uses Indiegogo Platform to Raise $5,000

The Funding Is Out There! uses one of the methods it discusses to obtain funding for the book's rollout and audio creation.

2014-04-23
AKRON, OH, April 23, 2014 (Press-News.org) The Funding Is Out There! Access the Cash You Need to Impact Your Business, is using a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to raise the $5,000 needed to market the book to small and medium business owners and create an audio version.

According to research published by the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland in August 2013, "the fraction of nonfarm, nonresidential loans of less than $1 million--a common proxy for small business lending--has declined steadily since 1998, dropping from 51 percent to 29 percent." This is due to a combination of factors but bodes poorly for all those business owners who primarily think of bank loans when they think of business funding. The Funding Is Out There! helps change that by arming business owners with options and the insights to pursue those options.

Business financing is a topic that many business owners do not know much about. In addition, most small and medium businesses do not employ Chief Financial Officers or CFOs and when they do, most of those CFOs have an accounting background and focus on minimizing taxes or streamlining accounting operations. However, accounting is not finance. Therefore, even when business owners reach out to their management or accountants, owners fail to tap into the knowledge base needed to obtain the funding they seek.

According to Tiffany C. Wright, the author of The Funding Is Out There! Access the Cash You Need to Impact Your Business, "In advising small and medium business owners, I realized that many SMB owners hit the business financing wall because they did not: 1) know of the myriad sources of financing available; 2) understand which type or source of financing best fit their businesses (stage, industry, and needs); 3) know how to package and present the business to best suit the funding source; or 4) a combination of all of these. The Funding Is Out There! explains all of this in easy-to-understand language and uses case studies and examples from my years of experience."

The Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign, The Funding Is Out There!, offers public thank yous and pre-release copies of the eBook and book as perks. Anyone who contributes to the campaign receives an entry into a drawing for a free 2-month weekly advisory package. The winner can transfer the package to whomever she chooses. Newly added perks include $75 to receive an eBook, signed softcover book and sole sponsorship of one new podcast; $100 perk recipients in the Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC or Akron, OH metropolitan areas receive an in-person book signing and discussion.
