ANAHEIM, CA, April 25, 2014 (Press-News.org) Electron Beam Engineering, Inc. (EBE), an established precision electron beam and laser welding company, is continuing its long-standing partnership with Vocational Visions, the influential nonprofit group now in its 40th year of helping people with intellectual/developmental and other disabilities.

Hilary Hurt, Executive Sales Manager of EBE, is serving as co-chair of Vocational Visions' fundraiser Saturday, May 3, "An Enchanted Evening at The Kentucky Derby," to be held in Irvine.

In addition to Hurt's key role with the fundraiser, she is Vice Chairperson of the Vocational Visions board of directors. Further support for the nonprofit comes from EBE's founder and CEO, Richard E. Trillwood, who has been a board member for many years.

"The partnership between EBE and Vocational Visions is a strong one. Vocational Visions is committed to improving the lives of our residents who need a helping hand and EBE has been proud to support their efforts for many years," Hurt said. "The Enchanted Evening fundraiser always brings out the best in our community, and we are very excited to see how much we can give back this year."

Tickets are still available to the event, which will be the 11th year and include live and silent auctions, musical entertainment, home stretch horseracing and a winner's circle dinner. An Enchanted Evening at the Kentucky Derby begins at 5:30 p.m., May 3 at the Irvine Marriot. Proceeds will go toward funding eight comprehensive programs for men and women with intellectual/developmental and other disabilities, such as helping them obtain employment, further their education and reach both professional and personal goals. Since 1974, Vocational Visions has served more than 3,000 individuals.

"At Vocational Visions, we are committed to keeping administrative expenses as low as possible," said Joan McKinney, Executive Director of Vocational Visions. "At least 91 cents of each dollar raised directly helps the men and women we serve."
