LAKE ZURICH, IL, August 19, 2010 (Press-News.org) In May of this year, ECHO Power Equipment of Lake Zurich, IL encouraged customers to submit photos of themselves or their Dads using ECHO tools for a chance to win a new piece of ECHO equipment in a special Father's Day photo contest. Children were encouraged to send photos by submitting their entries with the help of their parents. Parents were encouraged to help their children submit a photo and a short caption via email about what makes their dad an ECHO Dad this Father's Day.

The contest was designed to reward existing ECHO customers and give families a fun and creative project while reminding them about the benefits of ECHO product ownership. We wound up receiving dozens of entries and selected 2 overall winners.
First Place went to Tom of Woodstock, IL. His photo submission included a short caption about ECHO and his family:

"I have always used ECHO products. I remember about 10 years ago we had a big wind storm and a few trees fell down in the neighborhood.....I used my Echo CS-4400 and was done with our yard so fast I was able to help others. My son later told me how cool it was to see me look like the neighborhood hero with my Echo saw.

Now my son is older owns a home and is about to be a father himself so I thought it is time for me to give him some of my older equipment and buy some new stuff for myself. I am sure that one day he will make his kids proud when he saves the day with his Echo tools."

Tom selected a PAS 265 (pro Attachment Series) with a Power Pruner attachment.
Second Place went to Melissa also of Illinois. She wrote, "My husband uses his Echo equipment for everything including building his son a real treefort. He relies on his chainsaw for cutting all the wood for our woodburner to keep us warm all winter. He keeps the yard (all 2.5 acres) looking neat and trim with his weed whipper and backpack blower. He loves the ease, comfort and reliability of the equipment. He wouldn't be able to do all he does without his Echo equipment!"

Melissa and her family won a CS-400 Chainsaw.

Entries were judged for originality and composition, and winners are displayed on our front page at: http://www.echo-usa.com. Most of the entries can be viewed on our Father's Day Page at: http://www.echo-usa.com/fathersday.
