RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ, April 23, 2014 (Press-News.org) When it comes to society not much has changed. We have the same old problems as ever. Crime, depression, greed, jealousy, unhappiness, drug addictions; in fact all the emotionally challenged behavior of old is all still there.
Even though life is better economically it is still riddled with the same emotional problems as ever. It is because the education for creating wealth and making a living has steadily improved over the ages; the education for emotional intelligence has stagnated since the ancient times. The education for the art of living has remained the same.
The problem lies with our mind scientists. They are still too obsessed with trying to figure out wisdom before they can start to teach it. But wisdom education has little to do with teaching the knowledge of wisdom. Does a wise person even know that he is wise? Does a wise mother have to be an expert on wisdom to raise a wise child? Wisdom is an active process that is generated by biochemical reactions in the brain. It is the emotional health of the physical brain that determines the generation of wisdom. Wisdom depends on how the neurons are wired.
The brain is a biochemical machine. When it is wired to generate ignorance then all it can produce is ignorance. When an ignorance generating machine is provided the knowledge of wisdom it still can only produce what it is capable of producing. It is clear that in order to produce wisdom the wiring of the brain has to be rewired. So wisdom education is brain therapy.
Human behavior has to be controlled and managed. What happens is that the mind wants to act in an emotionally healthy manner but the brain produces emotionally challenged behavior which is powered by the emotional baggage. The mind constantly managing the brain takes away from the mind living a pure life. It affects all life from happiness, sleep, restlessness, greed, jealousy, rivalry, crime, war, peace and all the emotionally challenged behavior.
The key to creating a wise society is not through teaching the knowledge of wisdom, it is through making man wise enemas through brain therapy. Please try the following and if you like it please share with family and friends:
Today's world is full of too much information that passes through the mind. The mind is almost always over worked. It tires out the physical brain during the day and when the mind and body are sleeping in the night the unconscious brain wakes up and reviews the day's mind absorbed information and as a result the mind, brain and body all wake up tired. This hectic brain and mind tiredness is taken for granted; but it need not be this way. This over worked brain and mind pollutes the quality of life and even degrades the performance; resulting in a double loss in the quality of life. Life results in pain and unhappiness when life can be pure pleasure.
What we need to do is treat the physical brain as an organ of the body, which it is. It is just like the stomach. Imagine if we keep eating, eating, eating for hours what would happen? It would make us sick. The same fundamentals apply to the brain. It has to be rested for at least 15-20 minutes every 3-4 hours. Indulge your brain in any mindless activity or just what ever gives you the most pleasure. Pray, sing, play, meditate or try to go to sleep etc.
Just making your mind empty and keeping it blank is a great way to rest your brain and mind. We have figured out a new way to empty the mind - braintecness, as in brain technology. Braintecness is the key to living life wordlessly, experiencing life in pure emotions. The left brain thinks in words while the right brain thinks in biochemical reaction. The left brain is the mind and the right brain is the brain. Braintecnness is watching your mind with your brain, watching your brain watching your brain. Learn to watch your mind with your brain. Live the brain understanding and experiencing life moment to moment through biochemical reactions. Focusing on, understanding and experiencing the brain experiencing life in emotions without the emotions being described in words results in a blank mind. Trying to experience life just as the brain experiences life in blind emotions without experiencing the emotions in words puts the mind at rest.
Experiencing life with the mind constantly reviewing life in words is like the brain is playing football and the mind is giving a commentary on it. It is like the mind experiences life second hand what the brain experiences first hand. Learn to experience life through the brain first hand in pure emotions without the mind commenting on, describing and living the brain experience in words.
It is somewhat like the brain has the real apple while the mind is the mirror that experiences the image of the apple. Just think what would you rather have, the real apple or its image? The self image is the domain of the mind while the actual self is the domain of the brain. The brain is the key to the pure self and a pure life. So master the art of experiencing life through the physical brain.
Mastering the art of living life biochemically without re-experiencing life in words is much more than just resting your mind. It is the art of enjoying pure life first hand. Remember when you fell in love the first time and you experienced pure pleasure which you can still only feel and not be able to describe in words; well that is how you should live life 24-7! Living life mindlessly by experiencing life through the brain every few hours is a new key to a purer life. Try it! Indulge your brain in braintecness as much as possible by mastering braintecness!
In mindfulness the Buddha gave mankind an effective tool to purify the self by removing the emotional baggage from the self. By calmly observing the self observing the self observe the self through becoming aware of one's emotional and physical sensations and thoughts. The emotional baggage, in the form of emotional slaps and hurts to the self are virtually emotional mines buried in the unconscious emotional self, unknown to the conscious self. By focusing on each specific physical sensation, the unconscious emotional baggage causing this sensation becomes conscious. Once conscious this emotional baggage causing past episode is re-lived again and again in the light of the current reality, causing the emotional baggage to gradually disappear leaving the self free. Repeated mindfulness takes out all the emotional baggage/bad memories from the self, making the self pure.
Mindfulness is about watching the whole self's sensations, thoughts and perception, under the microscope of the reality of the current self; the old out dated feelings/sensations dissolve, leaving the self to experience/interpret life in current reality. Mindfulness purifies the self in a slow process. Braintecness involves breaking down the whole self into its components; the brain generated self, the mind generated self and the pure self. Braintecness detects the exact component of the whole self that needs purifying and it works on fixing just that component.
Braintecness is observing your defective emotions and reliving your defective emotions emotionally through your brain, mind and pure self separately and collectively. While at the same time watching your mind, watch your mind watching your brain, watching your brain watch your mind watching the indulgence in braintecness through the pure self watching both the brain and mind. Each watching the other and being aware that each is observing the other while at the same time experiencing it all in pure emotions as much as possible.
The emotionally challenged behavior takes place in biochemical reactions in the brain. As soon as the thought comes to indulge say in a bad habit like smoking, focus your pure self's eye on the brain's biochemical reactions that produce the smoking urge. Just imagine as if you are observing and can see the brain's biochemical reactions. Experience experiencing with full emotional focus, as if the pure self's emotional urge not to smoke, goes through the brain's emotional urge to smoke, tearing apart the urge of the brain to smoke.
The big question is how to identify which sensation and which thoughts originate in the brain, the mind and the pure self. The emotional baggage comes mostly from the unconscious brain. Most emotionally challenged behavior is a result of the emotionally challenged brain and so anything that embarrasses or harms one's well being comes from the brain. Trying to control one's bad habits and feelings of concern for the consequences of bad behavior come from the mind. The pure self expresses itself from time to time in the form of one's conscience.
Braintecness enables bringing the brain and mind generated sensations and thoughts on the same page as the pure self, by identifying with the pure self and observing through the eye of the pure self, one's brain generated self image and the mind generated self image. As one learns to practice braintecness and keeps taking out the emotional baggage of the brain and mind, the self generated by the brain and the mind start to become more and more pure and as a result the two impure selves start to evolve into and merge with the pure self.
Just imagine if one could live life as one's pure self/consciousness. The time has come when we can purify the self almost to pure consciousness. The closest one can come to pure consciousness is through a pure brain. A pure brain is an emotional baggage free brain, which the Buddha addresses through mindfulness and we are addressing through braintecness.
Buddha's main purpose of mindfulness is to purify man into pure consciousness. However Buddha's mindfulness is used by the mind sciences, only to the extent of trying to take out just some of the emotional baggage as our mind experts are still not convinced that the Buddha's main goal of making man into pure consciousness is ever possible. We believe the Buddha's aim to make man become pure consciousness is now almost quite possible. All we need is to combine the latest advances in emotional baggage removal with our own braintecness and purify the brains of the masses into pure consciousness. Just imagine if one could live life as one's pure consciousness. The time has come when we can purify the self almost to pure consciousness.

WSU researchers tackle 'virtually ignored' psychological study of spite
2014-04-23
PULLMAN, Wash.—Some of the world's nastiest behavior grows out of spite, the dark art of hurting an opponent even when it comes at a price to yourself.
Divorcing couples often go out of their way to hurt each other and even their kids, skirting the more peaceful path to moving on.
Tax evaders can grow so vengeful over a penalty that they'll double down on their cheating.
Terrorists can be so keen to hurt their enemies, they commit suicide in the process.
Spitefulness can even elevate a small slight, like lurking in wait for a parking space, into a vengeance worthy transgression.

Picture books aren't just fun
2014-04-23
Children hear as much sophisticated information about animals when parents read picture book stories about animals as when they read flashcard-type animal vocabulary books, according to a new study from the University of Waterloo.
"Marketers tell parents and educators that vocabulary books are more educational, so picture books are often dismissed as being just for fun," said the study's author, Professor Daniela O'Neill. "But our findings show that reading picture books with kids exposes them to information about animals in a way that allows children to readily apply ...
Neuroscientists discover brain circuits involved in emotion
2014-04-23
Neuroscientists have discovered a brain pathway that underlies the emotional behaviours critical for survival.
New research by the University of Bristol, published in the Journal of Physiology today [23 April], has identified a chain of neural connections which links central survival circuits to the spinal cord, causing the body to freeze when experiencing fear.
Understanding how these central neural pathways work is a fundamental step towards developing effective treatments for emotional disorders such as anxiety, panic attacks and phobias.
An important brain region ...
Lower birth weight, less breastfeeding linked to adult inflammation and disease
2014-04-23
EVANSTON, Ill. --- Individuals born at lower birth weights as well as those breastfed less than three months or not at all are more likely as young adults to have higher levels of chronic inflammation that contributes to cardiovascular disease, according to a new Northwestern University study.
Based on data from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, Northwestern researchers evaluated how levels of C-reactive protein (CRP), a key biomarker of inflammation, linked back to birth weight and breastfeeding duration for nearly 7,000 24- to 32-year-olds.
