Time to Sign Sports, through its advisory services, assists high school baseball players navigate through the college baseball recruiting process. The successes they have enjoyed are incredible. Those successes continued this past week."Paul Balestrieri (2013 RHP) is one of those special young men," says Gary Cohn, co-founder of Time to Sign Sports. He continues, "Getting drafted in the early rounds or eventually becoming the President of the United States would come as no surprise to anyone that knows Paul." Cornell, in a very competitive recruiting process, lands Balestrieri. A bulldog type pitcher (87-89, topping at 90), Balestrieri will challenge any hitter. Berg Ohanian, the company's other co-founder, says "Cornell just got themselves a legit Friday night starter. We are anxious to see the kind of impact this young man makes on the team and the Ivy League."
Matt Mccann (2013 MIF), a high school teammate of Paul Balestrieri from West Windsor Plainsboro South (NJ), earned a tremendous opportunity by giving his verbal commitment to Fairleigh Dickinson. McCann simply is a guy who will get after it on every play. "Time to Sign Sports has worked with many families and terrific young men, but Matt may be the hardest worker," says Ohanian. Adds Cohn, "His work ethic has really paid off. His growth as an athlete and baseball player is truly inspirational. No question in our mind that he will be a leader at FDU on day one."
Christopher Monaco (2014 RHP) is a rising junior who made the decision to become part of the Atlantic Coast Conference, arguably the premier baseball conference in America, by saying yes to Virginia Tech. This future Hokie has all the tools to really become a superstar. "Chris throws all his pitches for strikes. He pounds the zone with an 87mph fastball that has tremendous run on it," says Ohanian. "By the time he enters school, Chris is sure to be throwing in the 90's. For a young player, he really knows how to pitch and win."
Time to Sign Sports is thrilled for all three players and their families. Tracey and Angelo Balestrieri, Debi and Jim McCann, and Debbie and Lloyd Monaco, will see their boys continue their baseball dreams in college. Time to Sign Sports believes great baseball does not have to come at the expense of an equally great education. "It's the principal in which we founded the company," states Cohn. In Balestrieri, McCann, and Monaco, the successes of Time to Sign Sports continue in an incredible fashion.
