However it is just the beginning of a sensational career for Nashville's Dax. Dax is no stranger to musical fame - it runs in the family. His cousin Skeeter Davis remains wildly popular to millions of adoring fans today.
Davis was a big supporter of Dax's decision to pursue a career in music and there is no mistaking why Paul Worley (of known Lady Antebellum, Dixie Chicks fame) encouraged Dax to move to Nashville; talent runs in the family. Her encouragement and inspiration has played a role in his decision to further his calling and move to Nashville from his native Indiana.
"I wanted to pay tribute to Skeeter on this, the 50th Anniversary of her release of 'The End of the World', with a version that is very much my own style but can be re-discovered and enjoyed by fans of the past as well. Being one of the first country songs to successfully cross over to the pop charts, she was a trailblazer. I only wish she was right here in Nashville experiencing the music scene with me today" Dax explained.
Dax's rock rendition of 'The End of The World' coincides with the release of his latest album Beating Hearts and False Alarms debuting early 2013. The single will be available Tuesday December 4th along with the premiere of Dax's 'The End of The World' video and can be seen on his official website, daxofficial.com
Dax has not only become a household name to locals in Nashville, but also nationwide as he has received airplay on over 130 radio stations across the country. He has been recognized by NSAI, ASCAP, and multiple publishing companies as a talented songwriter.
