Assisting community schools in success

The Umansky Law Firm's donation helped Boone High School Mock Trial team members achieve first place in the Ninth Judicial Circuit Mock Trial District Tournament, followed by a fourth place finish at the 2013 Florida Law Related Education State Mock Trial Tournament. Boone High School Mock Trial team members make personal contributions to defray the costs of participating in the activity, as well as engage in fund-raising. However, the team needs the generous support of community members such as The Umansky Law Firm in order to meet the travel and lodging costs associated with participating in regional and state tournaments.

The Umansky Firm is proud to be involved with Boone High Schools' Mock Trial team, because the firm understands that building strong communities begins with strong educational systems that help mold responsible citizens. Mock Trial teaches students valuable critical thinking skills, as well as provides opportunities to polish public speaking skills and learn how to interact with peers in a professional manner. Students who participate in Mock Trial are better prepared for success in college and in their careers than many of their peers.
