With an impressive 10 years of practiced experience in her field, Dr. Lo is uniquely positioned to oversee a wide range of tasks on behalf of Pousada de Mong-Ha - one of the training units of the Institute for Tourism Studies Macau, which provides hospitality services and training for future tourism professionals. Over the past two years, in her position as director, she has overseen the operations of the educational hotel and its development activities. In addition, she works closely with industry partners in keeping herself up-to-date with the current trends and practices in the tourism and hospitality industry.
Dr. Lo excels in her field due to her prior industry experiences and her educational background, which includes a Ph.D., a master's degree in education, and a bachelor's degree in tourism business management. Prior to her directorial post, she spent eight years teaching division-related subjects. She first joined the industry in 2001, and has held management positions since 2003. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding and also maintains affiliations with the Macau Hotel Association and the Macau Hoteliers and Innkeepers Association.
Throughout the course of Dr. Lo's notable career, the educational hotel has won a variety of awards, including recognitions from various travel guides and Travellers' Choice Awards. Looking ahead, she aims to improve professionally and expand the capacity of the training hotel. "I think my greatest achievement in my career is to see many of my students achieving great careers after graduation," says Dr. Lo, "and many of them have truly been very successful in achieving their personal goals. When they pay me visits and update me about their achievements, that is when I feel my achievements in my career, too!"
