BERKELEY, CA, March 11, 2014 (Press-News.org) Diamond Approach cofounders, A. H. Almaas and Karen Johnson, will present 'The Tantra of Everyday Life' May 21 - 25, 2014 in Maui, Hawaii. The 5-day retreat will be simulcast to Ridhwan Centers in Berkeley, CA and Boulder, CO.
Quasar Retreats are a rare opportunity to directly explore the Diamond Approach under the guidance of its cofounders, a once-yearly event held alternately in Europe and the United States and open to the public.
Quasar 2014, "The Tantra of Everyday Life," will focus on integrating our everyday life with the depths of our being, utilizing the energies in each situation. Each day will feature talks and experiential practice.
Neither the depths of spirit nor the surface of the mundane world can adequately express what reality is and what is possible for each of us. How can our human lives be both the arena for spiritual practice and enlightenment, and the occasion for our true being to express its infinite possibilities?
When we realize that we are each the miracle of matter and spirit and at the same time we are neither, our everyday ordinary experiences can become doorways to further possibilities of reality, of awakening to our spiritual potential in its endless possibilities. True Being lives through the particulars of our lives, utilizing them to reveal its potentialities.
- We will explore how to both use our personal situations as occasions for practice and learning, and opportunities for expression of our finer spiritual qualities.
- We will work with our everyday experiences of work, relationships, play, creativity, love, sex and so on to learn to be the transcendent living a human life.
Our tantra is the wisdom of employing each particular situation within this world to go beyond it in a way that includes it. Inclusive transcendence is the path we will follow that enables our human consciousness to view reality beyond the concepts of duality and nonduality. Each particular situation affords us the opportunity to use its energies and forces to liberate and optimize our experience. Following such path it becomes natural to be of help to others and to life in general.
Quasar 2014 is the fourth in a series of public North American seminars, primarily for individuals who wish to have a direct and experiential taste of the Diamond Approach work. The retreat will be nonresidential, consisting generally of two meetings a day for five consecutive days.
The Tantra of Everyday Life will be held at the Makena Beach & Golf Resort, 5400 Makena Alanui, Wailea-Makena Hawaii 96753. Simulcast sites will have a supportive environment and one or more Ridhwan teachers to facilitate. Registration for Quasar is $599. Advanced registration strongly recommended.
The Diamond Approach is a contemporary original spiritual understanding and spiritual path, expressing timeless wisdom on self-realization using the insights of our time. Modern psychological understanding and spiritual wisdom are integrated to provide deeper and more effective means of realizing, developing, and living our full potential.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the divorce rates in the United States seem to directly correlate to the prosperity of the U.S. economy.
It's now 2013--roughly 5 years after the Great Recession hit the market--and the economy is improving. And, according to the latest data, it also means more individuals are filing for divorce. But why?
The data
The U.S. Census Bureau analyzed data from the previous decade. The Bureau's data shows that, in 2009, U.S. divorce rates plunged dramatically. Then, starting in 2012, U.S. divorce rates started to rise. According to ...

Legal recourse for failure to diagnose a heart attack
2014-03-11
Misdiagnosis of a variety of conditions happens all too often. Physicians and other healthcare professionals fail to see the symptoms for a particular ailment that results in injury to a patient.
In many cases, misdiagnosis occurs simply because doctors don't spend enough time with patients. CNN reports that the average time a family practitioner spends with a patient has decreased over the past decade. In fact it has "dwindled to a speedy seven minutes," they say. And, for urgent care doctors, the amount of time spent with a patient is likely even less as ...
Possibilities when dividing an Illinois business after divorce
2014-03-11
Dividing marital assets in divorce can be difficult and contentious. When a couple owns a business together, complications can multiply rapidly. Unlike many assets, including retirement accounts, bank accounts and other assets, business ownership can be difficult to divide or liquidate. That is in addition to the emotional ties each soon-to-be ex-spouse has towards the direction and management of the business.
Illinois is an equitable division state. That means that marital assets -- all assets accumulated during the marriage -- will be divided "fairly" by ...
