Houston Plastic Surgeon Launches New Dedicated Breast Surgery Site

To provide more specific information to women seeking breast surgery, the Plastic Surgery Institute of Southeast Texas has launched a website with information targeted specifically to surgical breast procedures.

2011-01-07
PEARLAND, TX, January 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Plastic Surgery Institute of Southeast Texas offers a full range of plastic surgery procedures, but one of its main areas of focus is breast surgery. To ensure that people considering breast surgery have access to a full range of up-to-date information about the procedures offered, they launched a new website dedicated to breast surgery.

The new website, located at www.breasthouston.com, provides information on:

- Breast augmentation
- Breast lift
- Breast reduction
- Breast reconstruction
- Male breast reduction

As performed by the Plastic Surgery Institute of Southeast Texas' plastic surgeon, Dr. Leo Lapuerta.

"Breast surgery," says Dr. Lapuerta, "is overall the most popular area of plastic surgery. It's also distinct from other types of surgery, with its own unique set of concerns, both from the surgical and cosmetic sides. So we launched the new site that not only has additional information, but also a distinct look and feel.

"Breast surgery is also an area where the techniques used vary widely between surgeons. I think it's important that patients understand we do things differently here."

One less common approach used at the Plastic Surgery Institute of Southeast Texas is the use of intravenous anesthesia for many types of breast surgery. Patients can learn about the advantages of intravenous anesthesia in order to help them make a more informed decision about their own procedure.
