The first session, on October 6, 2010, is titled: Getting to needs: Seeing beyond wants and wishes to find the real source of business results. Mr. Bittner will review why delivering what the business asks for may not result in project success, and how to effectively go beyond wants and wishes to find and agree upon what is really needed.
Attendees will learn why merely delivering what the business asks for is rarely sufficient; techniques for getting to the real needs of the business; how to overcome resistance to questioning "wish lists"; and how to agree on project success criteria.

Link Between Cataracts and Antidepressants Found

A recent study conducted at the Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Evaluation, Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute in Vancouver, British Columbia seems to show a link between people who are using certain selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) and cataracts. Both SSRIs and SNRIs are antidepressant drugs, and are used by roughly ten percent of Americans. A new study published in the Journal of General Medicine shows that in communities with teaching hospitals there is a significant and annual peak in fatal medication errors during the month of July, the month when new med students take on more active roles in patient care.
