Foxconn Extends Deal for Small Orders

Along with other news, Foxconn announced extension of U.S. agency agreement to handle small orders.

COTTAGE GROVE, OR, September 25, 2010

Foxconn International Holdings Ltd, the world's largest maker of electronic components, and Prima IBC, a U.S.-based coordinating agency, announced today that they have extended an agreement for the 2010-2011 season on volume, prices, and distribution services.

Vincent Tong, spokesperson of the Taiwan-based original equipment manufacturer Foxconn, has confirmed to the media its extension of a 5-year agreement with Prima IBC. A Foxconn factory began releasing small orders to Prima in late 2004 under a trial program.

Tong said that the agreement allows properly processed small orders to be shipped ex-factory warehouse direct to the buyer's door via couriers such as DHL, EMS, FedEx, and others. In addition, due to the decrease of prices of its products, easing of documentation requirements, and modernization of shipping services, similar agreements with several other organizations are already near completion.

"We are very excited to extend our relationship with Foxconn," stated RL Slatton, president of Prima and former Apple manager. Foxconn in mainland China makes products for Apple. "Our clients look to us to provide a turnkey cheap source for very popular electronics devices such as Apple iPods. Working with Foxconn is a key step that allows us to secure small lots of product at wholesale and ship directly, thus allowing our clients to get product cheaper, and create a greater value for all."

"This arrangement illustrates how Foxconn can provide business solutions that facilitate the direct distribution of small purchases by enabling Prima IBC to act as a coordinating agent on behalf of many smaller clients," said Tong. "Prima will handle these smaller orders, ensuring that every marketplace has complete access."

Prima acts as agent for small orders of several of the most popular electronic devices besides iPods, including Flip camcorders, Logitech Digital Surround Sound Speakers, Logitech Harmony 900 URCs, Microsoft Zune HDs, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo Wii, Panasonic WiFi Blu-ray players, Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 cameras, Samsung BD-P4600 Blu-ray players, Samsung 8500 Series LED TVs, and Sony PlayStation PS3s.

According to Slatton, "Our ongoing agreement with Foxconn changes the game, so smaller buyers can participate. Allowing the processing of small orders allows almost anybody to get in the game and sell some of the most popular electronics being manufactured in China, especially iPod nanos." He suggests that if this way of ordering direct sounds interesting, you should visit the website http://www.PrimaIBC.com to learn more.

Prïma targets, sources, and delivers small orders of popular brand-name electronic devices at wholesale prices. Our mission is to earn our place as the world's preferred and pre-eminent provider of small lots direct from the factory warehouses.
