Recruiting Trends Conference to Include Half-Day Program Focused on New Technologies

October Event Opens with TrendSetters

PETERBOROUGH, NH, August 12, 2012

Recruiting Trends, a leading resource for the employee recruitment industry, has announced that TrendSetters will kick off the Recruiting Trends Conference, which takes place Oct. 14-17 in Las Vegas.

TrendSetters, a fast-paced and extraordinarily engaging one-of-a-kind learning opportunity, shares new technologies and developments that can enhance recruiting performance. The show begins at 1:45 p.m. on Oct. 14 with opening remarks by TrendSetters Emcee Peter Weddle, CEO, WEDDLE's Research & Publications, and Anna Brekka, Senior Director, Recruiting Trends.

The afternoon's presentations include, among others, "Tapping into Qualified Candidates," with Doug Hall, vice president, employment brand strategy, Glassdoor; "Recruit Candidates Faster with...Reference-Checking?" with Rob Bennett, director, SkillSurvey; and "Why We Need to Treat Job Seekers Like Customers," with Chris Forman, CEO, StartWire.

Doug Hall, vice president, employment brand strategy, Glassdoor, helps employers to effectively reach target job candidates through a host of technology-driven products. Most recently, Hall has been a champion of social media based recruiting solutions and has applied his deep expertise in the space to help some of the largest and most innovative companies attract top talent.

Rob Bennett, director, SkillSurvey, has more than 15 years professional experience, primarily focused on human capital management consulting. He provides best practices focusing on finding, developing, and retaining employees, while aligning corporate objectives with talent management strategies.

Chris Forman, CEO, Startwire, has extensive experience in developing online recruitment solutions. Forman launched Startwire in January 2011, and it is currently the largest and fastest growing job application organization site on the Web. In his previous roles as CEO of AIRS and chief development officer of The RightThing, Forman and his team built products that have won every major recruiting technology award and are in use by 70 percent of the Fortune 500.

"Technology has become the mainstay of employee recruitment, but using technology effectively, and tapping into new tools, remains a challenge for many talent management professionals. We are pleased to offer TrendSetters as part of this year's Recruiting Trends Conference to help attendees become more technologically savvy," says Anna Brekka, senior director of Recruiting Trends.

The Recruiting Trends Conference, an event unlike any other, provides insight into new technologies and so much more. TrendSetters is followed by two full days of knowledge sharing and networking, with sessions focused on today's most important recruitment and talent management topics in a unique and engaging learning environment. The first day features a talk-show format that encourages audience participation. On the second day, attendees decide who, from among the presenters they wish to learn more, and meet with them in workshops and consultative sessions. The Sourcing Summit, a day dedicated to sharing the latest techniques in candidate sourcing, concludes the conference.

A variety of attendance and pricing options furthers the customized learning experience. Special group rates are available.
