METAIRIE, LA, August 15, 2012 (Press-News.org) Dr. Robert Kadish, podiatrist in Metairie, is excited to be offering a patient education section as a part of his practice's comprehensive podiatry website. The education library is offered to give patients the knowledge necessary to maintain healthy feet.
"I'm happy that our practice is offering a patient education library on our website. I believe that the more educated a patient is about the importance of their health, the better chance they have of living a healthy lifestyle. I hope that all of our patients take some time to look through our patient education library," said Dr. Kadish, foot doctor in Metairie.
The patient education library features information on a variety of podiatric topics. There is information related to Metairie bunions, ingrown nails, foot odor, shin splints and much more. There are also links in the library to provide additional podiatric information to Dr. Kadish's patients.
To schedule an appointment for Metairie toenail fungus or another foot issue, patients can either call (504) 833-0029 or use the online appointment request form. To do this, patients simply have to enter in the date, time and a few words about the nature of the appointment to the online form. Shortly after this, the practice's scheduling coordinator will follow up with an email or text message to confirm the appointment.

Are Over the Counter Whitening Strips Bad for Your Teeth?
2012-08-15
Over the counter teeth whitening strips may be more harmful to your teeth than other teeth whitening options. The dangers of whitening strips are inherent in their design. Whitening strips:
- Cannot penetrate deeply, requiring more frequent usage
- Do not hold the bleaching solution to your teeth, resulting in significant amounts of solution being washed away by saliva
Because they rely on acids to lift stains and must be used with greater frequency to obtain and maintain results, over the counter whitening strips are perhaps the least ideal teeth whitening option ...

Researchers Work to Reduce Crashes Involving Commercial Trucks
2012-08-15
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, accidents remain one of the top causes of death in the United States. Unintentional accidents, like car and truck accidents, are responsible for over 118,000 deaths every year.
Many of these accidents involve large trucks and smaller passenger cars. Accidents involving trucks can be particularly devastating based on simple physics. A typical commercial truck far outweighs a common passenger vehicle. In fact, the average difference in weight is well over 70,000 pounds. This weight difference can vary based on ...
Wrongful Foreclosure in Minnesota: Is Compensation Available?
2012-08-15
The Great Recession and the mortgage crisis that accompanied it were bad enough. Many large mortgage lenders and their loan servicers only made it worse. Their failure to help financially stressed homeowners work out ways to stay in their homes led to wave after wave of foreclosures.
This was not only unfair to families that lost their houses; it also had the effect of dampening the real estate market for years on end as all of those foreclosed properties pulled down prices for everyone else.
This article will discuss compensation that may be available in Minnesota ...
Should the U.S. Require Large Trucks to Use Speed Limiters?
2012-08-15
Large trucks are some of the most dangerous vehicles on the road. This is not to say that commercial truck drivers are necessarily more negligent than other drivers. However, because these trucks are so large -- a fully-loaded semi-truck can weigh up to 80,000 pounds -- the average 4,000 pound car simply does not stand a chance in a collision.
Despite this danger, large trucks are a crucial part of the American economy. Since it would be impractical to argue that trucks should be taken off the road, regulators have instead focused on finding ways to prevent truck accidents ...
