2010-10-12
ARLINGTON, VA, October 12, 2010 (Press-News.org) Fantazzle Fantasy Games is announcing their lineup of fantasy hockey games in preparation for the 2010 NHL season. Along with the regular weekly fantasy hockey games they offered last year, Fantazzle is also unveling a new daily Fantasy Hockey Challenge game.

In addition to the fantasy hockey games Fantazzle is offering for the upcoming NHL season, Fantazzle is also proud to announce that their fantasy games have expanded into Canada, allowing non-U.S. residents to take part in the fantasy gaming community. The expansion will continue to solidify Fantazzle as one of the top fantasy sports gaming sites, giving Canadian residents the ability to play fantasy sports games and win cash prizes.

Fantazzle is pleased to be opening its doors to the Canadian market, while also showcasing an improved lineup of fantasy hockey games. The 2010 NHL season will see Fantazzle hosting their usual weekly Fantasy Hockey Salary Cap game, while also introducing the new daily Fantasy Hockey Challenge game. The addition of the daily game makes Fantazzle one of the premier fantasy hockey gaming sites, giving users the option of two different, short-duration hockey games, along with the chance at winning cash prizes.

The weekly Fantasy Hockey Salary Cap game is played every week of the NHL season, starting on Monday, and concluding on Sunday. All fantasy gamers will select a fantasy hockey lineup of 2 Goalies, 3 Centers, 3 Wingers, and 2 Defensemen, while remaining under a salary cap of $1 million. This unique fantasy hockey game will force users to create a roster mixed with fantasy studs and sleepers, which will increase the level of competition. The new daily Fantasy Hockey Challenge game operates exactly the same way, except there is no salary cap, and the game is available every day of the NHL season that there are at least three scheduled NHL games.

"Adding a daily fantasy hockey game to our lineup of fantasy games gives us a complete roster of fantasy hockey games, and allows us to cater to all hockey fans on our site," said Fantazzle founder, Ryan Parr. "Fantazzle has always been about the fantasy player, and we feel that adding this new daily game, along with our weekly fantasy hockey game, we are improving the experience for fantasy hockey fans everywhere. And that's never been more true than now with our expansion into Canada."

Fantazzle's 2010 lineup of fantasy hockey games and expansion into Canada are simply two more examples of the company's drive to produce the best fantasy games and promotions for its online community. In the past year, Fantazzle has provided its community with a free Ray Rice Fantasy Football Challenge game, high stakes fantasy football games, and even brand new fantasy baseball playoff games for the 2010 MLB playoffs.

With the 2010 NHL season already providing more improvements from Fantazzle, more unique games and fantasy promotions can be expected going forward, with the 2010 NBA season and 2010 NFL playoffs in the near future.

Author Raul Pupo Releases Americas Service Meltdown: Restoring Service Excellence in the Age of the Customer

The subprime mortgage crisis, former NASDAQ Chairman Bernard Madoff's monstrous $65 billion "Ponzi scheme", and the demise of titans on Wall Street and the U.S. auto industry, despite the tortuous explanations found in the media, amount to nothing more complicated than the collapse of an ethic of service. According to Raul Pupo, author of the take-no-prisoners' account of the deteriorating state of customer service across all industry sectors, this is not just a matter of corporate survival but of national survival as the country continues to flail in the face of the ...

Dogs' anxiety reflects a 'pessimistic' mood

2010-10-11
Many dogs become distressed when left home alone, and they show it by barking, destroying things, or toileting indoors. Now, a new study reported in the October 12th issue of Current Biology, a Cell Press publication, suggests that this kind of separation anxiety occurs most often in dogs that also show "pessimistic"-like behavior. "We know that people's emotional states affect their judgments; happy people are more likely to judge an ambiguous situation positively," said Mike Mendl of the University of Bristol. "Now it seems that this may also apply to dogs; dogs that ...

Dogs may be pessimistic too

The research by academics at the University of Bristol, and funded by the RSPCA is published in Current Biology tomorrow (12 October). The study provides an important insight into dogs' emotions, and enhances our understanding of why behavioural responses to separation occur. Professor Mike Mendl, Head of the Animal Welfare and Behaviour research group at Bristol University's School of Clinical Veterinary Science, ...

Intriguing viral link to intestinal cancer in mice

2010-10-11
More than 50% of adults in the United States test positive for human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) infection. For most people, infection produces no symptoms and results in the virus persisting in the body for a long time. HCMV infects many cell types in the body including the cells that line the intestines (IECs). New research, led by Sergio Lira, at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, shows that mice engineered to express the HCMV protein US28 in IECs develop intestinal tumors as they age. These mice also develop more tumors than normal mice in a model of inflammation-induced ...
