SHALLOTTE, NC, December 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) Canadian Indie author Rusty Blackwood will release a new version of her 'Passion In Paris' novel. The book was originally published in two parts - 'Passion In Paris: Connections To The Past' and 'Passion In Paris: Directions Of The Heart'. The new title, 'Passions In Paris: Revelations Of A Lost Diary', is an updated version of the storyline in a single volume. The book has been compared to Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and 'What Dreams May Come', as the love story spans several lifetimes.
"As a writer, and as a woman," reveals Ms. Blackwood when asked why she wrote a story about love spanning several lifetimes, "the expression of love, whether it is expressed in the moment, or recalled from memories dwelling deep within the heart, is the purest form of expression I can write. I've always been a hopeless romantic who believes in love ever-lasting, and that each of us have a soul mate, the reflection of us, the one who holds the other half of our heart, the one we are destined to love for eternity." Rusty continues,"I also believe -- from experience -- that our prior lives can wash into the present, shaping our future, and defining our destiny. With this realization comes much information, among that, who you are meant to be with."
When asked why she is releasing a totally new version of a previously released title, Rusty answers, "I suppose one could call me a perfectionist, and whether that's true or not I do expect the best out of everything I do; my writing, and the publishing of it is no different. Readers who pick up an author's title expect quality within the pages, and a writer who submits their work to a publisher's copy-editor expects that this particular professional will do this job in a proficient manner; with regard to this, the later was not realized. That is the main reason I decided to totally revise it, and because I had decided to do that, it also gave me the chance to express certain areas from a completely different light, perceptive, as well as expression. Each published title carries the author's name, and the work within the book reflects the ability of the one who wrote it. Therefore it must be as good as it can possibly be."
Blackwood is a prolific Indie author of romantic fiction, short story comedies, contemporary and traditional poetry and children's books. Her first love is romantic fiction, but she crosses genres with ease. Her first venture into the competitive world of mainstream fiction was realized in early October 2010 with the release of her debut romance novel, 'Passion in Paris: Connections to the Past', the first of two in the ongoing romance/drama. The second part, a romance novel entitled, 'Passion in Paris: Directions of the Heart' was released in May 2011. In March of 2012 she released a short story comedy, 'The Misadventures Of Derwood Tugbottom'. She has also written an eclectic array of Contemporary and Traditional poetry, publishing her first collection in October of 2009 entitled, 'Feelings: A Rhythmic Journey in Thought'. This title was re-released with additional content in 2011 under the title, 'Impressions: Poetic Rhythm in Emotion'. 'Feelings' was followed in April of 2010 by a collection of assorted short stories for children as well the young at heart entitled 'Young Minds' which was later re-released with new added content entitled, 'Through the Eyes of Innocence'.
