Kemptville Meadows Raising $24,000 for Kemptville District Hospital

New program introduced to raise $24,000 through sales of its homes

2012-12-02
KEMPTVILLE, ON, December 02, 2012 (Press-News.org) Kemptville Meadows, a residential home community in Kemptville owned by LA Group, has introduced a new program to raise $24,000 for the Kemptville District Hospital. For each one of the 48 remaining homes sold in Kemptville Meadows, $500 will be donated to the hospital's Foundation, with funds evenly split between the mammography campaign for breast cancer screening and vital equipment for the hospital's emergency department -for a total contribution of $24,000.

"Supporting the mammography campaign is near and dear to my heart," notes LA Group president Gilles Brisebois. "I have three daughters of my own, and we have close friends who have been affected by breast cancer. Kemptville Meadows has attracted many young families, so supporting breast cancer screening in this community makes a lot of sense to us."

For Kemptville Meadows project manager Fred Heller, the importance of the mammography campaign also hits close to home. "I have a daughter and two granddaughters and I can't think of a better cause to support."

Kemptville District Hospital Foundation chair Dermid O'Farrell has high praise both for LA Group and Kemptville Meadows as a result of its recent announcement to raise $24,000 for the hospital.

"On behalf of the KDH Foundation, I want to say how much we appreciate the LA Group and Kemptville Meadows for their strong community support. This commitment, which was initiated by them, to help others in the community through the mammography program and by helping to fund vital and updated equipment will be beneficial to all who need treatment at our Hospital. LA Group's dedication will play a crucial role in the Foundation's mandate of providing equipment to help KDH 'build healthier communities."

To learn more about this charitable giving program, contact Kemptville Meadows directly at 1-613-366-2007 or email supportkdh@kemptvillemeadows.ca.
