Stone Oak Orthodontics in San Antonio TX Sponsors Team in Dirty Girl 5k Mud Run to Support National Breast Cancer Foundation

Orthodontist Dr. Robert "Tito" Norris sponsors the team "Tito's Muddy Divas" in the event to support breast cancer education, early detection, and treatment.

2012-12-04
SAN ANTONIO, TX, December 04, 2012 (Press-News.org) The team at Stone Oak Orthodontics in San Antonio, TX got down and dirty to support breast cancer awareness!

The Dirty Girl 5k is a mud-laden obstacle course that is traversed by waves of teams and individuals throughout an entire day. Dirty Girl 5k's are staged somewhere in the U.S. almost every weekend of the year, from Seattle WA to Cape Coral FL and nearly everywhere in between.

On the morning of December 1st 2012, the Stone Oak Orthodontics team, "Tito's Muddy Divas" took to the course at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio. They were soon greeted by a knee-deep water pit, a wall climb, cargo net, and many other muddy obstructions.

The Dirty Girl 5k is all about supporting breast cancer research and awareness. 2.5% of registration fees go directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, meaning each participant is making a valued contribution. Dirty Girl 5k organizers grant free registration to any and all cancer survivors who want to participate in the event.

The Dirty Girl 5k is a rewarding experience for many reasons. Participants enjoy a sense of camaraderie, accomplishment, and community as they work together to conquer not just the muddy obstacle course, but breast cancer as well. After completing the course, participants enjoy refreshments and entertainment as they congratulate their teammates and fellow "dirty girls."

To learn more about the Dirty Girl 5k or to see their 2013 event schedule, go to www.godirtygirl.com.
