"The Wild Heart in the New World" on January 8 "Why Shamanism Now?" Radio Show with Christina Pratt

On her radio show "Why Shamanism Now? A Practical Path to Authenticity", shaman and host Christina Pratt talks about how we've become complacent and how we can tap into our "wild hearts" to change ourselves and the world.

2013-01-08
JERSEY CITY, NJ, January 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) Streaming live on the Co-Creator Radio Network on Tuesday, January 8, at 11 a.m. Pacific time/2 p.m. Eastern time, on her show "Why Shamanism Now?: A Practical Path to Authenticity," shaman and founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing Christina Pratt notes that there has been a great domestication of the heart in America, numbing and dumbing down the voice that should guide us. It is the rare individual today who knows the path of his or her heart, who is fearless in feeling the passionate emotions of a spiritual adult, and who finds the courage of heart, discipline and devotion, day in and day out, to get off the couch, out of the office, or unplug from the Internet and take the steps to make their soul's purpose happen. Pratt observes that loving openly is considered foolish and following the heart considered weak or weak minded. However, if the Story of the People is to change and support us in creating a qualitatively different world, then we must ally ourselves once again with our Wild Hearts.

In this episode of "Why Shamanism Now?" titled "The Wild Heart in the New World," Pratt explores what we must do in our own lives to subvert the need to control that runs throughout the Old Story enforcing separation, and attend skillfully to the Shadow energies that are actually the very path back to our Wild Hearts. The Wild Heart ally brings us to the intimacy necessary for true nourishment, sustaining pleasure in our connections, and a primary relationship with our True Self.

Christina Pratt is an authentic, non-traditional contemporary shaman. In practice since 1990, she specializes in mending the soul and transforming the parts of life that feel impossible. A teacher of exceptional clarity, humor, and inspiration, Pratt brings the power of shamanism into the practical grasp of anyone willing to take responsibility for improving the quality of their life. Her well-received book, An Encyclopedia of Shamanism (Rosen), is an 800-page, two-volume set with over 750 in-depth entries that clearly discuss the basic concepts of shamanism, methods, and traditions of over 50 different shamanic peoples. Pratt is the founder of the Last Mask Center for Shamanic Healing in Portland, OR, and New York, NY, creator of the original Foundations of Shamanism and Shamanic Healing course at the University of Minnesota, and a frequent and honored speaker for the American Holistic Medical Association.

A Practical Path to Authenticity", a live internet talk radio show with host Christina Pratt, airs Tuesdays at 11 a.m. Pacific time/2 p.m. Eastern time on http://www.co-creatornetwork.com/hosts/shamanism/host_bio.htm. BULLYING...We're Kickin' It

New Jersey has been very proactive in the pursuit of ending bullying in our schools. In 2002, the original anti-bullying law N.J.S.A.18A:37-13 was passed. Governor Chris Christie signed the legislation as P.L. 2010, Chapter 122 (P.L. 2010, c.122) and the new provisions took full ...
