The podcast is an interview with the Chairman of Flow Assurance Forum 2010 Fouad Fleyfel, Head of Process and Flow Assurance Engineering at the Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company, and is available on the Flow Assurance Forum website (www.flowassurance.org), completely FREE of charge.
In the interview Fleyfel, Head of Process and Flow Assurance Engineering at the Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company, speaks to Oil and Gas IQ about the work Shell has been doing in Nigeria and the key challenges faced in the West African oil industry. The interview then looks at different ways that Shell works to achieve maximum efficiency - outlining a few of the methods and strategies currently employed and why these methods have been chosen. Fleyfel specifically addresses how Shell deals with napthenate deposits and also explains the work that the company has been doing with methanol in well shut-down and start-up operations.
For those wishing to hear more on this subject, Fleyfel and a range of other expert speakers will gather in Aberdeen for the Flow Assurance Forum 8-9 December 2010.
