PHILADELPHIA, PA, May 07, 2013 (Press-News.org) Known both for its groundbreaking technological innovations and for its commitment to developing the field of online reputation management, Reputation Changer has been selected as a finalist for Red Herring's Top 100 North America award. This prestigious list honors the most promising and innovative private technology enterprises in North America. Reputation Changer is proud to stand as the only online reputation management firm on the list, solidifying its position as its industry's most noteworthy player.
"Reputation Changer is honored for this recognition as the industry leader, and for the vote of confidence that our technologies and our program really work for our clients," remarks the company's president, Michael Zammuto. "We are proud to represent the online reputation management industry, and proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with the other distinctive technology companies on this list."
Red Herring has been choosing the most thrilling and promising start-ups and "scale-ups" in the technology sector ever since 1995. The finalists for this prestigious list include companies from all across North America, evaluated on a number of criteria. These criteria include the company's addressable market site, its intellectual properties and patent holdings, the proof of its concept, and the expertise of its management team. Each company's application is accompanied by an in-person presentation from one of its principals; Zammuto will be making Reputation Changer's case later in May.
The finalists are evaluated not just on the basis of their potential, but on a review of the actual results they have delivered--something that Zammuto says gives Reputation Changer a distinct edge. "That Reputation Changer has developed numerous groundbreaking technologies, and that those technologies address an exponentially-growing market demand, is inarguable," he explains. "More to the point, though, we can offer evidence of how well our strategies have worked at providing businesses and individuals with total control over their online search listings."
Alex Vieux, the CEO of Red Herring, is similarly enthusiastic about this year's awards. "The finalists list confirms the excellent choices made by entrepreneurs and VCs and the start-ups' solid roots in corporate America, embracing their innovations," he explains. "By all metrics, it emphasizes the United States' entrepreneurial excellence."
During the months leading up to the finalists list, Red Herring reviewed hundreds of submissions from companies in the fields of Internet security, Web 2.0, software, hardware, cloud technology, life sciences, and beyond. Finalists will present their winning strategies in Monterey, California, between May 21 and 23, with judges announcing the 2013 winners at an award ceremony on May 23.
"Reputation Changer is proud of its standing as an innovative, award-winning company and as a leader in the field, but more than that, we are proud of the hard work and sterling results that have carried us this far," states Zammuto. "We have helped countless companies and individuals to defend themselves against online defamation and to take control of their online portrayals, and we are grateful to see this work acknowledged alongside so many other worthy candidates."
