ALEDO, TX, May 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) Characters trapped in a magical world, combined with combative forces, captivate both genders and the edgy anime style illustrations appeal to all middle grade readers. McWilliams wrote the series with his twelve-year-old daughter, Sophia, who took an interest in writing as well and earned a Regional Scholastic Writing Gold Key award for C.A.W. - Cyber Anime Warfare, a science/fiction piece. At only 13 years of age, 7th grade, and a middle school student at Garrard Middle School, she continues to impress. The McWilliams father, daughter, duo intends to continue writing the series together.
McWilliams's fascination with fantasy worlds and creating characters was grounded in his love of comics and games long before he became a writer. That passion inspired him to open a retail store, toy store, and later he became the Director of Promotions for Wizkids, another large toy company. Between the two experiences, role-playing, storytelling and playing games, enhanced his storytelling ability in the supernatural, horror and fantasy genres. McWilliams soon recognized a foundation and a wealth of material had been gathered to support his work as an author. He continues to share the world that he has created through his series and other written other works some that will be released under Progressive Rising Phoenix Press in the near future. He continues speaking with local students, sharing his knowledge of writing, creating, and the industry. McWilliams and resides in Kentucky, River Palisades, with his family, and continues to promote and share his work with others.

Earlier this year, 95 cars and trucks were involved in a multi-vehicle crash along a foggy stretch of highway near the North Carolina-Virginia border. Three people died and 25 others were taken to area hospitals with serious and minor injuries. A series of 17 separate car crashes caused the pileup in a mountainous area, all in a one-mile stretch of interstate.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder recently signed into law a bill that expanded Michigan's sex offender registry to allow the public to view sex offenders who have been convicted of a Tier I sex offense.
