WACO, TX, November 07, 2010 (Press-News.org) Dr. J Michael Godfrey has been coaching, mentoring, and consulting with individuals in the clergy for more than eight years, and he is expanding his practice to include more work with business professionals.
Evidence of his own passion for excellence and lifelong learning, Dr. Godfrey recently completed his Associate Certified Coaching credential from the International Coach Federation (www.coachfederation.com), and he actively participates in an advanced training program at Coach U (www.coachinc.com). He has more than 400 hours of mentoring and coaching experience working one-on-one with individuals. Dr. Godfrey earned his Ph.D. in adult education.
Dr. Godfrey's continued success as a trusted mentor and coach started when he realized the prevalent need among clergy for specific resources designed to help them grow personally and professionally. The premise for Dr. Godfrey's coaching program is that each client has the knowledge necessary to solve internal challenges—they just need someone to help them clarify it. "We don't work miracles," Dr. Godfrey says, "but we do walk with people helping them be more, see more, and achieve more."
It's with this same spirit and desire to meet people where they are and help them work through their specific situations that Dr. Godfrey meets with individuals who are struggling to balance the schedule of a demanding corporate job with the needs of a family and personal life. He understands that oftentimes, with all of the daily emotional, mental, financial, and immediate demands that are part of everyday life, it's easy to lose sight of goals, dreams, and the ability to look at life from a big-picture perspective. He also knows that various situations in life frequently require significant leadership that many people sometimes feel inadequate—and too exhausted—to impart.
Dr. Godfrey recognizes that continuous learning and intentional leadership contribute to comprehensive growth and fulfillment, enabling individuals to reach their highest potential personally, professionally, and relationally. Through encouraging mentoring and one-on-one guidance, Dr. Godfrey gives business professionals the tools they need to make significant changes, become better leaders, reduce stress, get ahead professionally, and reach goals faster—in and out of the office.
