Pre-School Radio Features Thumbuddy Kid's Music

Kid's learn "They are Thumbuddy!" on Pre-School Radio

2010-11-10
BURNSVILLE, MN, November 10, 2010 (Press-News.org) Pre-School Radio, a program exclusively offering positive, age appropriate music for preschoolers will feature Thumbuddy kid's music beginning Friday, November 5, 2010.

The founder of Pre-school Radio, Lyn Michaels-Carden, recognizes the importance of introducing music to children at a young age. Ms. Michaels-Carden says, "I also feel strongly that the music should be age appropriate (or age palatable.) As my child has gotten older, I looked around for an outlet that offered music she would enjoy. Very quickly I came to the realization that no one was making that kind of music available to the broad public."

A former disc jockey who retired from radio after a 20 year career which included not only being on the air but also management of music and programming departments for radio stations, Ms. Michaels-Carden created Pre-School Radio.

"Pre-School Radio, for the under six set and those who love them" is a free web site that gives parents an outlet to enjoy music with their preschooler. The website is set up with podcasts. The reason for this is simple: preschoolers will not be sitting in front of a computer listening... they should be dancing around the house and singing along in the car. Podcasting gives parents the ability to play positive music for their children in the places kids will enjoy it.

Thumbuddy music is created by ThumbPeople - a problem prevention organization. Recognizing the powerful effect that words have on individuals, ThumbPeople is committed to surround children and adults with supportive, encouraging words that build a foundation of positive self worth, a strong self image and a hopeful outlook on life. ThumbPeople nurtures the parent-child bond, strengthens the emotional health of families and circumvents broken family relationships and the destructive behaviors that often result.
