The eBook covers a lot of new details about the different aspects of player fitness levels related to the game of soccer.
Injury
Studies have shown that players are more susceptible to hamstring injuries during sudden stressful motions during the game. When there are sudden bursts of motion, the hamstring is stressed excessively causing injury to the muscles. In order to prevent, coaches need to get their players adequately warmed up after the half time break, before they enter the field for the second half. Since the temperature of the muscles can go down during the break, players can also suffer from reduced sprint performance. Therefore, coaches needed to make their players go through a warm up session prior to the commencement of the game in the second half.
Endurance Training
The training that players undergo several months before the match plays a vital role in their performance in the game. Coaches need to ensure that the strength of the eccentric hamstring muscles in players is developed sufficiently well in order to be able to endure fatigue. Some players may have a low H/Q ratio, which refers to the measure of the hamstring strength in relation to their quadriceps force. These players especially need their hamstring muscles developed well in order to prevent injuries and to develop endurance.
Growth Factor
It is important for fitness coaches to understand the growth patterns of youngsters especially when they are dealing with school or college kids. Dealing with growing kids throws in a lot of challenges. Dealing with their adolescent behavior can in itself be quite challenging. But apart from that issue, taking the ever changing physiology into account and adapting the training program as their physique changes could be an even greater challenge. Understanding how the body develops is extremely important for designing the right kind of training at every level.
Right from the age of around six to twelve years when kids are in their pre-puberty stage, they normally grow anywhere from four to eight centimeters every year. Just as they enter puberty, most children experience a spurt of growth where the growth rate reaches around eight to sometimes fifteen centimeters a year. A term known as PHV or peak height velocity is used to indicate the age at which this growth spurt reaches its maximum rate. This adolescent growth spurt period can last from about one to two years in general. Soon after this phase, the rate of growth rapidly diminishes. The growth may stop at the age of 16 for most girls and at the age of 18 for most boys.
When children go through this rapid phase of growth, they might experience coordination problems are they try to cope with the changes to their physique. This can significantly affect their performance in sports as well. The playing of soccer does not in any way affect the magnitude or the timing of the PHV. It also does not affect the growth of the individual or their skeletal maturation.
The eBook deals with a number of important topics related to soccer fitness ( http://www.firestormsoccer.com ). The eBook is priced at $49.95. For more details please visit: http://www.FireStormSoccer.com
