LOS ANGELES, CA, November 14, 2010 (Press-News.org) Alan Parsons, world-famous producer, engineer, recording and performing artist, will be at Guitar Center West Los Angeles. With an engineer credit on Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon and studio time with the Beatles as an assistant engineer at Abbey Road Studios, Parsons is a music legend. He is a prolific recording and performing artist with more than three decades of material. Best known for his namesake The Alan Parsons Project, Parsons continues to impact the evolution of popular music. All Our Yesterdays, a rare recording featuring Alan on lead vocals, was released in 2010 on Authentik Artists. The song was recorded especially for his new instructional series for recording musicians entitled "The Art And Science Of Sound Recording."
What: Parsons will perform several songs with a full band in Guitar Center Sessions, an ongoing music education-based initiative that provides musicians with the chance to network and gain insight and knowledge from their musical influences. He will also discuss his experience in audio engineering in a comfortable and intimate setting with the legendary DJ, Jim Ladd (KLOS). The program is intended to help musicians further their aspirations and provide tools for career growth by producing an evening of dialogue and music from some of their favorite artists. Past artists to participate in Guitar Center Sessions include Slash, Peter Gabriel, Jane's Addiction, Joe Satriani, Peter Frampton, Pete Rock, Dave Mustaine, and RZA.
