Read the source, then the headline

Our new research briefs link to the underlying publication and identify the study design, population and outcomes. We state whether a brief is based on an abstract or a full paper. Selected topic dossiers are not comprehensive systematic reviews.

What AI does

AI researches sources, prepares drafts and checks claims against the material it can access. Educational evidence guides may be published after an AI source check; their transparency note explicitly says when no human review has occurred. An AI check is not independent verification. Clinical research analyses remain drafts until their source check and a real, identified clinical review are completed.

We do not treat a model's confidence score as a measure of scientific certainty. Missing data stays missing, and generated wording must not invent a patient, quotation, study or result.

Explainer
An educational guide to reading evidence. Worked examples are labelled as illustrative.
Draft · review pending
A private preview item awaiting editorial checks, excluded from public research feeds and sitemaps.

Dates and corrections

A brief's publication date is separate from the date of the study it discusses. Older research is not presented as a newly released study. Substantive updates are recorded in the editorial history. Corrections can be requested through our contact page.

Our historical archive

The original press release archive remains available at its existing addresses. It contains institutional announcements and earlier material prepared under previous publishing processes. The new review workflow applies to the research section; it is not a claim that every archive item has been re-reviewed.

Independence and personal decisions

Funding and conflicts reported by a study should be considered when interpreting it. Sponsored material, if introduced, must be labelled. The site explains research and does not provide an individual diagnosis or treatment plan.

Photography & credits

Photographs provide editorial context. They do not show the participants or results of a study unless a caption explicitly says so. A photograph does not imply endorsement by its creator or institution.
