Travel Sector Rebounds With the Help of a Discount Travel Club and Locked-In Airline Rates

With the building popularity of discount travel clubs and the latest briefing of Continental Airlines offering locked-in travel rates, travelers now have inexpensive ways and options to vacation.

2010-12-15
LOS ANGELES, CA, December 15, 2010 (Press-News.org) The recent announcement of the locked-in airfares comes on the coat-tails of the new bulging popularity and reliance of using a discount travel club for vacationing. One website, http://travelmembershipclubs.blogspot.com/2010/11/vacation-travel-club-4-simple-rules-to.html, is making a name for itself with its recent provocative article on the vacation travel club industry.

C.D. Malone, creator of Travel Membership Clubs, says, "The announcement from Continental about locking in airfares couldn't have come at a better time for travelers."

She goes on to say, "But there are other bigger expenses outside of the cost of airfare, most notably the cost of accommodations. And this so happens to be where a discount travel club can save travelers a lot of money."

Travel clubs are not new...they have been around for decades. The tough economic climate has forced travelers to find more affordable and economic ways to vacation. Ms. Malone states that was one of the reason she wrote her article.

"I've done several reviews of travel clubs, but it was this one article that shone the light on how much benefit and savings a discount travel club can really add to your vacation when you choose the right club. And choosing the right club is very important", Ms Malone goes on to say.

Discount travel clubs and locked-in airfares may have a huge impact on the rebounding of the travel industry. A luxury vacation that was not deemed possible early on in this economic climate may very well become a reality for a lot of families.

When the economy took a downturn, bargains on airline flights and accommodations weren't as easily available as its now becoming.

Malone says, "Looking for cheap travel was pretty much like looking for a needle in a lot of haystacks. The economy has hit the travel industry hard. More and more people are discovering how a discount travel club can make family vacations more affordable", Ms. Malone says.

She goes on to say, "When I wrote my article on vacation travel clubs I knew I was onto something good that could help a lot of people."

Mike and Jan found out how valuable a vacation travel club can be when booking a vacation. They stated, "We have just returned from a two week vacation at the Regattas of Abaco and can only say that the standard of accommodation was excellent. We feel that we received very good value for money."
Mike and Jan are just the typical kind of family that loves to travel but have found a way to make it more economical.

From the airline industry to hotels to luxury resorts....all have been affected by the economy. "When I wrote the article, I just wanted to show people that there are affordable options out there when it comes to traveling", C.D. Malone reiterates.

Discount travel clubs can come in many price ranges and vary in benefits. Ms. Malone says, "It's important that when you do choose a vacation travel club, that you pick one that offers the most value for the price of the membership."

She then says, "The discount travel club I deemed one of the best had discounts on car rentals, cruises, and air flights in addition to the accommodations.

It's just not good enough to just choose any old travel club...especially in this economy. Just like Continental Airlines, discount travel club have to go the extra mile to make it all worth while."
