Holiday Movie Attendance Drops as Movies Move Into the Home

Last year's holiday movie releases take a hit at the box office as analysts point to an increase in home theater systems as the culprit.

2011-01-15
BLAINE, WA, January 15, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Holiday season, much like the summer, is normally a time of big box-office returns as major releases jockey for a slot amongst Christmas time movie going audiences. Unfortunately, last year's turn out dropped an overall 15% over the span of twelve months.

Although milestone movie releases such as Avatar made a huge impact on 2009's holiday box-office returns, the return of 3D technology into cinemas was expected to stimulate a market forced to adapt to the ever rising prices of tickets and vendor prices. Audiences, finding deals on the recent Black Friday sales last holiday, have managed to stay away from theatres by nabbing a good deal on their favorite DVDs and Blu-ray discs. Now, analysts are crediting the drop to holiday ticket sales to the rise of home theatres.

Over the last couple of years, more living rooms are now installed with quality home theatre seats and various home theatre seating arrangements than ever before. That isn't to mention flat screen HD screens with movie theatre quality surround-sound systems to compliment the home theatre seats and home theatre seating displays.

As more and more homes are realizing the cost-efficiency of owning their own home theatre seating and home theatre seats instead of going to the movies, studios and theatres alike are now looking for ways to attract audiences to the movie houses.

However, analysts expect the trend to continue as home theatre seating and home theatre seats continue to drop in price along with high-definition televisions and surround-sound systems.

Home theatre seating and home theatre seats have gone down dramatically in price over the last couple of years. As more and more households look towards home theatre solutions to stave off the rising costs of ticket prices, home theatre seating and home theatre seats are slashing their prices to keep themselves competitive in a growing market.

A company such as Elite Home Theatre Seating that specializes in providing top of the line home theatre seating and home theatre seats have made a killing in installing world-class quality theatre seats in various homes across the country. Analysts also expect ticket sales to drop even further once 3D technology reaches a higher penetration rate within the average living room in the next three years or so. When it finally does, home theatre seats and home theatre seating companies such as Elite Home Theatre Seating will be waiting to reap the rewards.

Elite Home Theater Seating is a US company based in Washington that manufactures custom high-end theater seating, adhering to the highest levels of furniture excellence. The company has maintained a sterling reputation with their world-class luxurious chairs, and their clients include famous celebrities and professional athletes. The company has grown consistently in their marketing campaigns, now making their elegant handmade furniture within reach of those aiming for style, luxury and comfort.

DWI Defense for the Accused Citizen: The "No-refusal weekend" Campaign Is Misleading

2011-01-15
This year began with the State of Texas advertising another "no refusal weekend" to combat citizenry suspected of driving while intoxicated. The term "no refusal weekend" being advertised by law enforcement in the media is extremely misleading, and it could very easily mislead someone to believe that they do not have the right to refuse, not only a breath test, but any type of DWI test. Because of this recent campaign, many people have unwillingly taken a DWI breath test and performed field sobriety tests that they may have otherwise refused. The Fourth Amendment to ...
