Advanced Waste Services Links Profitability to Sustainability With Earth Conversations.

Earth Conversations are about a clients goals for their business, their community and their environment.

2012-08-08
WEST ALLIS, WI, August 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) When Mike Malatesta founded Advanced Waste Services 20 years ago, his idea was to transform what was called "the waste industry" and create amazing experiences for clients. These experiences would be built on a culture of providing memorable service and delivering promised results.

Today, Malatesta is still helping clients have memorable experiences and in doing so has shifted Advanced Waste Services from "waste" to "environmental sustainability." Advanced Waste Services has taken the steps to actively help clients achieve sustainability goals - an approach they created called Earth First.

"Its not enough to collect, transport, and clean a client's industrial wastewater," says Malatesta. "20 years ago a tanker trailer seemed like a big deal, but today clients want help with defining, tracking and achieving sustainability goals. So we created the Earth First Program to have conversations with clients about their sustainability goals."

The conversations Malatesta refers to are Earth Conversations. He believes that Earth Conversation are the best way to bridge the gaps the might exist between the reality of a client's goals today and where they want to be in the future.

"We work with some of the leading companies in automotive, food and beverage and chemical manufacturing and they need a partner that is committed to helping them find ways to achieve zero landfill and zero waste," says Malatesta. "In just the past 6 months we've helped our clients divert over 3.35 million pounds of liquid industrial waste from landfills."

Malatesta has noticed the biggest impact with clients that are "stuck" on aspirational goals and have utilized the Earth First Program to transition to measurable sustainability goals.

More information about the Earth First program is available at advancedwasteservices.com or by reaching Mike Malatesta direct at 1-800-842-9792.

Based in the Midwest, Advanced Waste Services is dedicated to providing clients with waste minimization strategies, industrial cleaning solutions, safety training, and Spill ResponseTM. Founded in 1993, the company is committed to sustainability for our businesses, communities and environment by having Earth Conversations with clients.
