WESTBOR, MA, August 08, 2012 (Press-News.org) MedEdu LLC has released a free, interactive intermediate breath sounds course. The course is available at http://www.practicalclinicalskills.com/lung-sounds.aspx. This course extends the existing basic lung sounds course by adding new sounds and by offering an interactive lung anatomy feature.
This breath sounds course consists of thirteen lessons with each lesson focusing on a particular sound. A quiz helps build student confidence by providing quick feedback on lung auscultation.
The Practical Clinical Skills website provides additional courses covering heart sounds and murmurs, EKGs, carotid bruit evaluation and blood pressure assessment. These courses use web-based simulators to enhance learning and facilitate skills improvement.
The courses and reference are compatible with PC, MAC and iPad web browsers. Several of the reference guides are also available for iPhones and Android devices. This course was developed in partnership with Medical Training and Simulation LLC (www.practicalclinicalskills.com).

Pursuit Athletic Performance triathlete Lisbeth Kenyon was third woman overall at the Norseman Xtreme Triathlon held on August 5 in Eidfjord, Norway.
