NOVI, MI, October 10, 2010 (Press-News.org) Technicians and professionals from across Michigan will gather together for a technical seminar to learn about VMware, storage virtualization and business continuity. The event date has been rescheduled, and Red Level Networks will now host the event on Thursday, November 4 at 11am, in collaboration with DataCore to show the process and benefits of storage virtualization and business continuity planning.
Red Level, servicing small and mid-sized businesses, provides managed services and customized full service IT solutions, such as virtualization and disaster recovery. Virtualization allows businesses to move quickly in today's fast pace environment, allowing several operating systems to run on one machine, cutting energy costs through reducing the number of servers needed. Red Level is able to provide a flexible virtualized infrastructure utilizing server and storage virtualization, increasing efficiency and uptime in any business.
"The importance of protecting your data while simultaneously running a smooth and efficient network cannot be underestimated," said David King, president of Red Level Networks. "Red Level's business continuity plan allows our clients to have an effective strategy to manage their data."
The event will also feature professionals from DataCore Software Corporation, who will show how VMware and DataCore work together in a virtualized server environment that uses shared storage (DataCore) as its SAN which provides cost reduction for the client.
"Without a business continuity plan, there is a high risk of losing information due to major and mini disasters that damage or impair storage hardware," said Augie Gonzalez, Director of Product Marketing at DataCore Software Corporation. "Such a loss might jeopardize the organization's ability to continue IT operations and lead to business collapse. DataCore storage virtualization software ensures high-availability across storage devices and between sites, making it essential to any VMware environment."
The event, which will feature a question and answer session as well as lunch and prizes, will be held at Red Level Networks, located at 24371 Catherine Industrial Drive in Novi. To register, call Red Level Networks at 248.412.8200.
