T.A. Smith mother and author, has released her book "Getting Spiritually Naked" with a publishing date of February 2010 on Publish America Press. The book comprehensively addresses a subject, according to Smith, that is long overdue.

"This devotional book shares seven personal stories and is designed to be read one story each day. Challenge yourself to experience this 'spiritual diet' for one week as you reflect upon God's provision in your own life and enjoy a closer walk with God."

Not just for Christians but for any person going through today's challenges, the new book is geared to help those struggling with various issues. "It is written to provide both an understanding of how Christ can impact your life and also offers remedies to find balance and serenity-two commodities often non-existent during such a tumultuous time," Smith explains.

In "Getting Spiritually Naked" Smith kicks off each chapter with a look at both actual and hypothetical case situations that illustrate the most common scenarios-the ones that people typically face.

As every chapter evolves, Smith references each of her opening "scenarios" by explaining what has taken place from a Christian vantage point. She then goes on to instruct the reader on how handle similar situations-offering viable options of how to prevail, whether such a war is emotional, psychological or spiritual in nature. Smith rounds out each chapter with insightful and personalized quotations that gives each reader the personalized opportunity to evaluate his or her position in life.

"It was also my goal to write a book that those going through similar situations as myself could relate to," Smith says. "I made a point of structuring the book so it would be a very private and personal experience." Throughout the devotional Smith also provides plenty of encouragement showing the reader ways to become proactive in handling his or her life with good sense and dignity. Throughout the text, Smith also manages to keep the reader's spirits intact. In fact, she also provides a chapter devoted to self-reflection of one's behaviors, actions and words . A pivotal chapter explores dealing with conflict, even when it's within the family unit. Naturally, she also covers a unique perspective on losing a loved one. She winds down the lessons with the chapter, "In the Buff", describing what it means to shed your life of the little insignificant things.

Born in California, Smith was not raised in a Christian home and did not accept Christ as her Lord and Savior until she was a teenager in Arkansas. Through her own trials, she has learned that God does not promise a trouble-free life, but one with His constant protection and mercy.

Now living with her husband and three children, Smith strives to share her faith through relationships, public speaking, daily interactions, business, work, home life and written words. With her first published work "Getting Spiritually Naked", she shares 7 personal stories depicting God is bigger than any storm life can bring. She now works to publish her first series targeted to children, "Pocketful of Jesus". This 4-book collection is inspired by basic concepts taught to her own children: Kindness, Thankfulness, Manners and Truth. Finally, a work-in-progress continues on a fictional novel written to engage teens and adults alike, showing God's providence.

God calls us to plant seeds of faith. Smith does this by helping others experience Christ... one word at a time.
