More Returning Favorites Announced From Website Popdose.com

Celebrating a fifth anniversary in 2013, Popdose.com revives several longtime favorites, adds all-new series, and continues to shine with star-studded interviews.

2013-01-26
RED BANK, NJ, January 26, 2013 (Press-News.org) Several old favorites from the Popdose.com firmament are returning to the much lauded pop culture site for their fifth anniversary year, 2013. Among them is perennial favorite Popdose Flashback, which takes a look at other anniversary events throughout the worlds of music, movies, television, and more. Delving into the years 1963, 1973, 1983, 1993, and 2003 Popdose.com is able to reflect on seminal events like the creation of Marvel Comics' Sgt. Fury, later Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.; Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon; the final episode of M*A*S*H; and the birth of the '90s nu-metal movement.

In February, the second Platters That Matter podcast presents Chris Holmes and Dw Dunphy's take on the Genesis album Duke. Platters That Matter moves boldly into Popdose's collection of thought-provoking podcasts including The Matt & Jeff Radio Hour (where, recently, contributors Matt Wardlaw and Editor-In-Chief Jeff Giles spoke with Bruce Hornsby) and Matthew Bolin's Songs Of Freedom. Many more podcasts are being prepped for 2013 as Popdost continues its multimedia expansion.

In the past five years, Popdose.com has provided analysis on all things pop culture, from music and movies to overly-sugared breakfast cereals and a mascot from a popular television commercial series. They've spoken with stars of stage, screen, and popular music, hosted a mini-series written by a prominent music producer, and interviewed an up-and-coming singer/songwriter posing as a deceased sitcom star. In 2013, they're doing it again.

The writers have proven again and again that they know and love the topics they write about, and are equally adept at taking on the subjects that do not speak to them. Some of the most heartfelt, angry, and pointed commentary about the world and its times appeared on the Popdose.com page.

As to the immediate future, Popdose.com has a completely different angle on March Madness this year with a presentation you'll just have to see to believe and, for fans of the completed retrospective series Digging For Gold, a brand-new series is coming that will not only surpass the original but will likely make readers cry out "omigod!" The Popdose.com Staff is confident once people check out the site they'll be hooked, and with such a diverse, entertaining line-up in the wings there has never been a better time to read Popdose.com.
