Products for Growing Hispanic-American Population Can Be Found at Expo Comida Latina This Weekend

More than 70% of US households are buying authentic ethnic food and beverage products today, and the exhibitors at Expo Comida Latina have the product variety and flavors to meet these growing demands.

2010-08-12
PORTLAND, ME, August 12, 2010 (Press-News.org) Expo Comida Latina will begin this weekend and run for three days, August 14-16th, at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, CA, USA. Since 2002, Expo Comida Latina has been North America's trade show for Hispanic food and beverage, and this weekend's expo will feature companies with authentic, specialty, gourmet and mainstream products for today's Hispanic-American US population.

According to a special report, "The U.S. Hispanic Economy in Transition" by HispanTelligence, Hispanics are our largest ethnic group, totaling 15.1% of the U.S. population. There are 45.5 million Hispanics in the United States and their growth rate accounts for nearly half our total population growth. Meeting the demands of this growing population is becoming increasingly important for retailers and foodservice establishments across the US, and the importance of stocking those authentic, specialty and mainstream Hispanic flavors and products is high. Today, more than 70% of US households are buying authentic ethnic food and beverage products as the non-Hispanic population also continues to enjoy Hispanic flavors and cuisine (Source: Prepared Foods).

Exhibitors at Expo Comida Latina have the product variety and flavors to meet these growing demands. Visitors to the show will find truly authentic Mexican products at the booths of the many Mexican companies participating, like those in the Mexbest pavilion. Specialty and gourmet products like guava fruit jelly and pickled cactus can be found. More mainstream staples, like salsas and beans, will also be on display. For those retail and foodservice companies looking to meet the needs of a growing population, Expo Comida Latina will have these products and flavors showcased in one place.

An added value for attendees will be will the co-location of Expo Comida Latina with the Western Foodservice and Hospitality Expo. The Western Foodservice and Hospitality Expo, sponsored by the California Restaurant Association, serves up the West Coast's very best products, services and technology to the region's restaurant and foodservice professionals.

Three days of business, sampling, culinary demonstrations and focused education sessions kick-off Saturday.

Registration for attendees and press is available online, or onsite. Registration for qualified members of the media is complementary.
