SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) Dr. David C. Mabrie, a board-certified facial plastic surgeon, recently launched a redesign of his website. The new design includes The Attractive Face, a section featuring an interactive, integrated online treatment planner which helps patients to select treatments such as BOTOX. At his San Francisco practice, Dr. Mabrie specializes in non-surgical solutions based on extensive research into the science of attractiveness and beauty.
"Our interactive treatment planner fits our philosophy of providing the highest level of patient care possible," says Dr. Mabrie, who is certified by both the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. "Before a person even sets foot in our office, we're providing helpful, practical and trustworthy guidance. It represents the type of personalized care patients can expect from us."
When prospective patients visit The Attractive Face, they are greeted by the treatment planner. Users can point to specific areas of the face, such as the eyes, and the planner will offer suggestions for treatments with links to more detailed information about procedures such as eyelid surgery in San Francisco. Patients can then select treatments and submit that information to the practice as part of an online consultation request.
"This allows us to be more efficient and effective," says Dr. Mabrie. "We know how we can help before we talk with the person. We can begin preparing relevant, useful information and provide a better experience for our patients."
The Attractive Face also represents Dr. Mabrie's commitment to educating patients and his knowledge of the science of attraction. It explains the characteristics of an attractive face and how scientific research has shown that attractiveness, while partly subjective, is based on measurable attributes of proportion, symmetry and familiarity. The new section of the site also discusses the "beauty quotient" and facial ratios.
"Every individual possesses attractive qualities," says Dr. Mabrie, "but research indicates that certain proportions and characteristics are considered universally attractive. I use this research in treatment planning to help women - and men - achieve improved facial attractiveness through more balanced, youthful features."
Dr. David Mabrie is a board-certified facial plastic surgeon serving San Francisco and the Bay Area. He specializes in plastic surgery and minimally invasive rejuvenation of the nose, face and neck. After graduating with honors from University of California San Francisco School of Medicine, Dr. Mabrie completed a residency in head and neck surgery at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He went on to complete a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Stanford University.

How Invisalign Works
2013-05-08
Like braces, Invisalign works by addressing malocclusion. Unlike braces, Invisalign does this by gently pushing your teeth into their proper position. Braces use wires and brackets attached to teeth to pull your teeth into place. While this can eliminate bite issues, it can also be extremely painful. Worse still, for adults, the often painful treatment of traditional braces can be compounded by their obtrusive appearance and it can take well over three years to complete treatment.
