Shimmering Resumes Lets Whitman Buy Her Resume on eBay
2010-11-04
SAN MATEO, CA, November 04, 2010 (Press-News.org) All is not over for Meg Whitman if she loses the race for governor. Shimmering Resumes, an award-winning professional resume writing service, is offering her the opportunity to buy her own professional resume on eBay, her former website.

"Meg's hard to beat -- metaphorically," said Paul Freiberger, President of Shimmering Resumes of San Mateo. "But her attempt to purchase the governorship has apparently backfired and it overshadows her corporate accomplishments. I can help her get over this woeful adventure and relaunch her career.

"Politics was never a real interest for her anyway. She was too busy to vote, even by mail. But though this admirable dedication to work hurt her at the polls, it will help her in corporate America," said Freiberger. "Similarly, though she knew little about running a state, she showed her desire to learn by visiting other governors like Rick Perry of Texas. I have highlighted these qualities."

Freiberger said that anyone can bid on Whitman's resume. "But she clearly has the resources to win this auction. She can't buy an election but she can buy this resume, and it will be exciting to see if she is as aggressive here as she was in the governor's race."

Shimmering Resumes develops world-class resumes for executives and professionals. Freiberger is an award-winning technology writer and his clients include many Silicon Valley executives, including people who work in the arena of online transactions. Shimmering Resumes also offers career counseling and job interview coaching.

Freiberger said he would gladly sit down with Whitman and help her choose among job possibilities and train for interviews. "Preparation is the secret to a successful job interview. I can keep her poised after rudely direct questions from a Gloria Allred or anyone else.

"You don't have to be an HR professional to see that Meg needs help in career crisis management," said Freiberger, referring to the damage done when the immigration status of Whitman's former housekeeper came to light.

"I'm willing to write a resume for Meg's housekeeper too," said Freiberger. "If Meg wants to help this poor woman, I am available."

Shimmering Resumes is a resume writing service and career counseling business, with its website at www.ShimmeringResumes.com. Shimmering Resumes has offices in Menlo Park, California and San Mateo,
California.

Medical Malpractice Cases Do Not Affect Health Care Costs

2010-11-04
In 2003, when Jeb Bush was governor, Florida passed a law to limit allowable financial compensation in medical malpractice lawsuits. According to those in favor of medical malpractice caps, a flood of high awards in medical malpractice cases forced health care costs to rise. Limiting the maximum possible medical malpractice award would result in lower health care costs, so the argument went. Why? At the time, Florida medical malpractice insurance rates were the highest in the nation. According to proponents of medical malpractice caps, doctors and hospitals were passing ...

2010-11-04
Every week there is seemingly a new product recall of some sort in the news. Whether it's automobiles or baby toys, a product is being removed from market shelves across the country. Many people may fail to realize, however, that when it comes to pulling defective food and drugs off market shelves, the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has no authority to order companies to recall their products. In light of two recent recalls, Congress is proposing bills to reconsider this. Eggs and Motrin This past summer, news of eggs tainted with salmonella erupted nationwide. ...
