Hamper Company Virginia Hayward's New Eco Packaging Range for 2010

Biodegradable bubble bags, air strips and loose fill will be used by Virginia Hayward Ltd, for their 2010 range of Christmas hampers.

2010-09-25
SALISBURY, ENGLAND, September 25, 2010 (Press-News.org) Biodegradable bubble bags, air strips and loose fill will be used by Virginia Hayward Ltd, for their 2010 range of Christmas hampers. The Dorset based supplier of hampers and gifts have added new eco friendly options to their existing range, thereby minimising the effect that packaging has on the environment.

The bubble bags and air strips can be recycled in both home and commercial composting facilities, therefore reducing plastic pollution and the volume of plastic going to landfill. The loose fill or 'Ecoflow' packaging is 100% biodegradable, made from sustainable raw materials and can be recycled in the cardboard or paper waste streams or it can be composted.

Virginia Hayward already use recycled paper and recycled board boxes. They also use willow, sea grass and bamboo baskets, which are all made from renewable sources.

"We are committed to continuously sourcing and using environmentally friendly packaging wherever possible," says Virginia Hayward Production Manager, Wayne Stevens. We pay as much attention to the packaging and presentation of your gift as we do to the contents, and our hampers are packed with expertise, imagination and attention to detail. We use a huge range of traditional and innovative products from water hyacinth to wicker, but strive to ensure that our packaging is not at the expense of the environment," he adds.

The Virginia Hayward range of Christmas hampers is currently available for sale on the company's website with the majority of items available for delivery until the 22nd December 2010.
