December 03, 2012 (Press-News.org) Dr. James Perdue an, author, public speaker and inspirational motivator has launched a new book to support the new addition to his website "A One More Play" new print version published by Westbow Press.
Many people lose sight of their dreams especially those that have suffered a disability as Dr. Perdue. Some people deny their dreams or simply fall into depression because of certain failures.
After becoming a quadriplegic at the age of nineteen, James persevered past his paralysis by completing his doctorate degree, becoming an educator and coach, and now a Motivational/Inspirational Speaker. James' message is used to help others triumph over their tragedies and be successful in life.
Dr. Perdue has helped people who were dissatisfied with their lives do something about it and reclaim their aspirations. Dr. Perdue reports that he "was inspired to write this book by observing how his determination transformed his life with hope of helping others their dreams."
According to Dr. Perdue, "I haven't let my disability stop me in achieving life. I have been a successful teacher, Fox 17 Top Teacher of the Week 2005, Teacher of the Year 2002, as well as a coach, Coach of the Year 2006 and 2000." Dr. Perdue also received the Jo Andrews Award 1995 and the Dr. Ramer Award 1991 both for overcoming adversity.
Escorted by his service dog Ricardo, Dr. Perdue came to Hendersonville Heart to Heart Storytellers (HHS)' a non-profit affiliate of NSN, to develop his storytelling skills. Dr. Perdue participated in the Hendersonville Toastmaster International contest alone with other contestants, however, Perdue, with his skillful approach won the contest and allowed him to advance in competition.
Using vivid stories based on his accomplishments, Dr. Perdue shows how his book can work for every reader. 'One More Play' will:
- Teach readers how to 'dream it forward' at any age, regardless of financial, health or personal challenges;
- Inspire readers to make what seemed impossible possible;
- Demonstrate how to silence one's inner critic and be free from its restraints;
- Empower one to take control of one's future by becoming one's own inner coach; and
- Help the reader program a chart to a happier life.
Dr. Perdue is available for media interviews and can be reached using the information below or by email at james.perdue@comcast.net. The "One More Play " is available at his website, Amazon.com and Westbow Press http://bookstore.westbowpress.com/Products/SKU-000567306/One-More-Play.aspx
