OTTAWA, ON, December 06, 2012 (Press-News.org) Earlier today Jay Yeo, President, Solamon Energy Corp., announced the company has expanded its operations in several new countries with the appointment of Chris Assad, SVP Special Operations. Effective immediately, Mr Assad will continue to develop numerous opportunities and sell the Apollo Acre as turnkey commercial-scale solar farms into Lebanon, Tunisia, Kuwait, Cuba and Panama. "Mr Assad brings a wealth of knowledge to the table and we are very proud announce his appointment," says Yeo.
"With his extensive background across a breadth of industries around the world, on behalf of all our stakeholders involved in our projects, he is certainly a welcome addition to our senior team and we believe his impact will be immediate," Yeo explains. "I'm not putting on any brakes and expect he'll be entering into discussions and beginning to forge relationships with all levels of government and business, as well as regulatory agencies and administrative bodies, sooner than we've issued this press release."
Yeo adds there will be additional announcements forthcoming related to new projects, while expressing optimism for positive outcomes across the Middle East, based on preliminary discussions held this past year for utility-scale solar opportunities in several territories. Solamon executives continue to develop mega-projects in Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, as well as smaller islands in the Eastern Caribbean, and stimulate development activity in Central America and North Africa.
"We believe Mr Assad will achieve incredible success in Central America and North Africa in the short-term," Yeo concludes. "He is a tremendous asset to Solamon, on several levels, and we're very excited about his plans to introduce the Apollo Acre and being able to provide renewable energy technologies to communities on a global level today."
Solamon Energy typically offers a ground-mounted solar array of integrated photovoltaic cells over a package of land called the Apollo Acre . The company now also designs and installs custom solutions with local partners to provide roof-mounted and parking lot systems that are easily augmented by micro wind turbine technology and other innovative features to supply renewable energy.
About Solamon: Solamon Energy Corp. sells integrated arrays of ground-mounted and rooftop photovoltaic cells. These solar power plants are connected by cable to varied transmission equipment, including converters, inverters and batteries, utilizing 5 acres of land per unit; each unit is called an Apollo Acre . Additionally, it is expected the company's business activities will spin-off many jobs locally, given engineering requirements, construction, unit commissioning and subsequent maintenance.
