CARY, NC, December 06, 2012 (Press-News.org) Coats + Bennett, PLLC (http://www.coatsandbennett.com), an intellectual property law firm, has announced that attorneys Tim Bradley and Emily Haas will serve as speakers at a seminar titled "Find it Free and Fast on the Net: Strategies for Legal Research on the Web" hosted by the National Business Institute on Thursday, Dec. 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Crabtree at 4100 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, N.C. The CLE credit program will help attorneys, paralegals and other support staff learn specialized Internet research techniques, and will cover everything from basic web searches to the invisible web. The techniques taught allow attorneys to quickly, efficiently, and economically find factual and legal information through a variety of Internet tools to support their clients' cases.

The morning session will feature Haas sharing tips on how to search like a pro. She will cover common questions about how to properly use search engines and databases as well as more in-depth items like using Boolean logic to create the best search strategies for finding relevant documents, managing bookmarks, and effective use of RSS feeds, blogs and podcasts. During the afternoon session, Bradley will focus on the invisible web, referring to the vast repository of information on the Internet that is not visible to search engines. He will cover questions regarding how the invisible web differs from the visible web, the types of content in the invisible web, finding "invisible documents," and how to find web pages that have changed or been removed.
