CARLSBAD, CA, January 28, 2013 (Press-News.org) Realcomm Conference Group, LLC, a global leader in providing technology education and networking opportunities for the commercial, corporate, government and institutional real estate industry, announced today that it will be launching a Commercial Real Estate COO Technology & Innovation Summit at the annual Realcomm conference. The inaugural Summit will be held as a preconference event on June 11, 2013, in Orlando, FL. The Summit, targeted for the commercial real estate Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), will provide a forum to discuss, debate and identify industry opportunities and challenges. It will also foster a community of peers and like-minded individuals to network, exchange information and share best practices.

As part of a newly formed COO Advisory Council for the Summit, Realcomm has selected two distinguished co-chairmen to spearhead the group, John Gilbert of Rudin Management and Kurt Padavano of Advance Realty. "Introducing the Summit at the conference is timely and addresses this unique market niche. We are now seeing overlapping functionalities across multi departments and technology is at the center of it all. With that change, the COO has increasing responsibilities to ensure that this transition is seamless, successful and profitable," said Jim Young, co-founder and CEO of Realcomm. "Additionally, I am pleased that John and Kurt have agreed to co-chair our Advisory Council. Both are in the trenches of this change and will provide valuable and firsthand experience and expertise to help provide a new standard for the COO's evolving role."

He is a Board Member of both the Grand Central Partnership and Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) and a Trustee of the New York Hall of Science.

"Owners and operators of real estate utilize multiple platforms and various technologies to run their properties and communicate with customers. We are all approached on an almost daily basis to try new, network centric hardware and software designed to help accomplish these tasks," said Gilbert. "The goal of this summit is to sift through this dizzying array of products and identify the best in class, and to collaborate with other senior real estate executives on this very strategic topic."

With over 25 years of commercial real estate experience and well-known nationally in the industry as a forward-thinking leader, Kurt Padavano is COO of Advance Realty. Kurt oversaw the creation of the industry's first and only Tenants' Bill of Rights , ensuring high-quality management services to Advance's tenants. Under his leadership, Advance has been nationally recognized as an industry leader by many professional and industry associations. He has also served as Chairman and Chief Elected Officer of the 17,000 member International Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). His involvement in BOMA International also includes Chairmanship of the Regional Owner's Council and as a member of its Executive Committee.

"I firmly believe that there is no better education then to participate in a high level peer to peer event designed to exchange information on current trends and best practices. The Summit will provide that unique forum," added Padavano. "I look forward to participating at the inaugural event and I value the opportunity to be part of planning this event. "
