Author Moses Solomon Releases a New Holiday Tale of Santa Claus in the 21st Century

Moses Solomon's holiday story, "The Santamobile," brings the Santa Claus story into the modern age, as the elves work to replace Santa's battered sleigh with a high-tech version designed to protect him from the ravages of global warming.

2012-12-06
PORTLAND, OR, December 06, 2012 (Press-News.org) Science-fiction author Moses Solomon's new holiday ebook, "The Santamobile," introduces the world to a cast of new Christmas characters, including Scooter, an elf mechanic with dreams of becoming an engineer, and Haggen, the crusty old reindeer herdsman in danger of losing his role to a reindeer-less, rocket-powered sleigh. For the aged Santa, the challenges of adapting to the modern Christmas environment, and of flying a gadget-laden replacement sleigh, force him to contemplate a dreaded thought: retirement.

As a succession of complications enter the new-sleigh project, the elves must confront two soul-searching issues: what will be the role of the reindeer, and which elf will help Santa pilot the new sleigh. With time running out, will the elves come together to find a common solution and meet their Christmas Eve deadline, or will Santa be stranded without a functional sleigh?

A blend of the humorous and the heartfelt, "The Santamobile" is currently available for purchase on Amazon and Smashwords, and is scheduled to hit other major ebook retailers including Barnes and Noble, Apple, Sony, and Kobo in the upcoming weeks.

About the author: After a successful 25-year career in the utility industry, Moses Solomon embarked on a new career journey as a science fiction/fantasy writer. "The Santamobile," a tale of Santa Claus in the 21st century, is his debut publication.
