Ceramic water filter achieves 99.8% dye removal at tap-water pressure

Scientists at the Korea Institute of Materials Science created a ceramic membrane that filters dye-contaminated wastewater at just 2 bar of pressure while letting salt ions pass through. The key innovations: a mutual doping technique that reduces sintering temperature by 300 degrees and a surface so smooth it prevents the microcracks that typically degrade membrane performance.
