Digital Crew Network Announces The Winner in its World-wide Drama Series Contest

Winner of Write-in contest was very surprised, yet grateful for being selected

2013-04-22
SEATTLE, WA, April 22, 2013 (Press-News.org) Digital Crew Network (DCN) is very proud and pleased to announce the winner of their very competitive drama series submission contest held in April. DCN offered a prize of $1,000.00 USD to one winner selected for the network to produce the series chosen for its Fall 2013 WebTV lineup. The winner of the $1,000.00 prize money was selected out of hundreds of submissions from DCN staff members and fans located around the world. The winner of the prize money was DCN staff member, Sales Coordinator/ Photographer, Ardie Montano.

Montano's drama series entry entitled "Long Distance" about a same sex couple struggling with the pressures and turmoil of a long distance relationship garnered unanimous votes for the win. As a result, the DCN production has been given the green light to begin turning Montano's idea and concept into a featured drama series to appear on the DCN WebTV network and its various social media slots to an audience world-wide.

When told of his winning entry, Montano said, "Honestly, I wasn't expecting to win. I was very hesitant about sharing my storyline with other DCN staff members because I wasn't sure how it would stack up against other talented and exciting ideas. I'm extremely proud and happy the DCN team was able to see and accept my vision as I presented it to all of them. My storyline can, and will make a difference in programming at DCN and to the community as a whole. I would like to thank DCN's CEO, Kim Kelly for providing me the contest money and an opportunity for me to submit an idea that I felt was a good topic to bring to life in a drama series".

Contest runners-up were: Ian Cobb, "Finding Home"; Christine Jahns, "Welcome to Horton"; Cassandra Schwartz. "TerrorByte"; Mahir Ansari, "Hollie Manskie"; Dekker O'Farrell, "Gate B24". The Public Winner was Seth Pickens, with his outstanding and complex series entitled, "The Astronaut".

Further shows will also begin production in the near future as a result of other contest submissions too, and they are: Competition Show: Dara Ek "One Tough Mudder"; Reality Show: Jenelle Dalit: "Baby Mama's". Feature movie: High school intern, and just 15 years old, Dekker O'Farrell's, "GateB24" due to start production in late Winter 2013.
