Grand Homes Reviews Surge in Development in Irving

Grand Homes reviews a boom in development in the city of Irving, located just outside of Dallas.

2013-06-12
PHILADELPHIA, PA, June 12, 2013 (Press-News.org) Grand Homes reviews the market in the Dallas-Fort Worth area regularly to ensure that it is keeping up with the latest trends and developing in the right ways. As such, the company is up to date on some of the latest and most significant changes in the housing market in the state of Texas. A recent article published by NBC sheds light on one of these trends, as it explains the building boom that is taking place in Irving, a city just outside of Dallas. Here, a representative from Grand Homes weighs in on the surge in single-family homes that are being built in the area--and the efforts of Irving to revamp its image while attracting new businesses and professionals.

According to the article, Irving is striving to bring more jobs into its local economy while establishing the city as a place for professionals to both "work and play." As such, the area is busy constructing single-family homes for the professionals who are following new jobs into its borders, 3,400 of which have been established since last October. To accommodate the professionals who are moving into the area, a 14.7 percent increase in single-family homes has occurred since 2008. In total, this accounts for over 5,200 new homes--and, the article states, "the city approved plans to build 1,500 new single-family homes."

Grand Homes reviews the ways in which Irving has succeeded in its efforts to expand its population and believes that there are two key factors: the ability to maintain the jobs it has created and the ability to meet the various needs of homebuyers who are moving into the area. On the first front, the article explains that financial and other incentives have been leveraged to both create and keep the thousands of jobs that have been established within the city. On the second front, the Chamber of Commerce has worked to ensure that there is a diverse catalogue available for new residents who are looking to buy a home.

Don Williams, who is the director of economic development at the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, states: "From the CEO to the newest entry level person in the company, we have everything from the low 100s to the million dollar plus homes."

A representative from Grand Homes asserts that the approach taken by the city of Irving is certainly one that is paying off--and that the ability to identify and meet homebuyers' needs is what, ultimately, will make this initiative a success. Grand Homes reviews many market trends and believes that this key activity is the one that allows development efforts to thrive.

Sex crime allegations filed against California coach

2013-06-12
Allegations of a criminal sexual offense are disorienting. For a coach or teacher, sex offense charges alone can ruin a career. Responses by a school vary, but suspension of the accused coach or teacher is common pending investigation. In addition, the state licensing board can immediately suspend a teaching license. This could all occur before formal criminal charges are filed. Stigma from a California sexual assault allegation - even if charges are later dropped or a trial results in a not guilty verdict - may still end a career working with children or the vulnerable. The ...

Who is liable after a slip-and-fall at a New Jersey commercial building?

2013-06-12
Slip resistance testing is a scientific field that studies slippery floors. Why is this important? Many commercial buildings need to consider installing safe floor coverings that hold up after use and cleaning and reduce the number of slip-and-fall accidents injuries in heavily trafficked areas. Falls are a leading cause of emergency room visits and more than one million slip-and-fall injuries are reported across the country each year. It may seem counterintuitive, but a shiny floor is often less slip resistant (a good thing) than a dull finish. This ties in with maintenance ...

When you think of dangerous driving habits, you may think of distracted driving, which has received a lot of attention in the media lately.
