DirectRooms.com reveals that government officials from each of the key nations in the Gulf will be meeting in Bahrain to talk about the major security issues of each country

2010-11-13
PHUKET, THAILAND, November 13, 2010 (Press-News.org) Over four days from 3rd to 5th December 2010, the 7th International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Regional Security Summit: The Manama Dialogue will bring together the prime ministers and military officials from over 20 countries to share ideas on challenges in the region.

The summit will include representatives from Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Yemen, Kuwait, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia as well as the UK, France, the USA, Russia and China who also have roles to play in the security of the areas.

The meeting will act as a platform for members to openly discuss policies and matters of concern for the region and now in its seventh edition is quickly becoming the most important place to encourage dialogue between each of the nations.

The meeting this year will specifically look at America's involvement in security issues and what the face of security will look like in the future for Yemen.

Each country is expected to send more than 30 officials including intelligence agencies and foreign ministers which will result in higher demand for Bahrain hotels around the time of the event.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "This is a vital meeting for countries in the region and externally. Bahrain will see many of its hotels being taken over for the summit and visitors will have to check online to source available rooms."

Legal Resources for Victims of Domestic Violence

2010-11-13
According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, one out of every four women in the US will be the victim of domestic violence during her lifetime. In Arizona, it is estimated that a child witnesses a domestic violence incident every 44 minutes - a statistic that is even more troubling since boys who witness domestic violence are twice as likely to become abusers as adults. The development of the legal response to domestic violence and intimate partner violence is relatively new. It is only within the past 30 years that laws have been passed to penalize ...

Violence between partners impacts a range of areas, and it has the possibility of affecting everything from child custody to emotional development and work status to criminal history. Partner or child abuse in a home can have a dramatic impact on whether or not custody is granted to a particular party in the event that parents separate. Of course, there are implications even if they are no children ...

It Pays to Thoroughly Review Your Medical Bills

2010-11-13
Medical expenses are second only to divorce as a cause of bankruptcies across our nation. Everyone -- from politicians to homemakers -- seems to know that we are in the midst of a health care crisis, but no one seems to know what to do about it. Skyrocketing costs and a floundering economy have put more hospitals in need of aggressive collection tactics as fewer people are financially able to pay their medical bills. Unpaid bills are not just written off by the providers, however. Hospitals, clinics, physicians and others in the medical industry pass those expenses along ...

California Court Reinforces the Duty to Warn About Work Site Hazards

2010-11-13
A ruling from the California Court of Appeals has conclusively established the California Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1973 (Cal-OSHA) as having the force of law. Importantly, one provision of Cal-OSHA requires anyone working on a worksite to report hidden hazards that they have discovered at a multi-contractor work site. If a contractor does not warn others about a discovered but non-obvious danger, the contractor may be held liable in a personal injury lawsuit. Attorney Bradley Corsiglia of Corsiglia, McMahon & Allard, successfully argued this appeal. The ...
