BOCA RATON, FL, April 12, 2014 (Press-News.org) At every Youfit club in America - numbering 68, with 2-3 new ones being added every month - employees will be planting two new trees. The goal is to plant 140 trees in 9 states in 60 minutes.
Also, every club will be holding raffles and special events to raise money for the World Wildlife Foundation - and to give their communities a chance to celebrate this Earth on which we live.
Included will be raffles, games, new-member enrollment specials (such as $0 down), one-month-free specials, a chance to win a summer cruise, free Youfit "Goodie Bags" for contributions of $5 or more to the World Wildlife Fund, using Youfit's special "Lime" (Green!) card for extra club privileges, free membership upgrades, and fitness contests.
"We believe we have the Greenest clubs in America," says President/Founder Rick Berks. "For example, when you walk inside one of our clubs, you'll be walking on floors made of recycled tires or Nike 'grind' - recycled sneakers! And the heating/cooling, water, and power systems are all Green. It costs us more to do it this way. But we believe in being good community citizens."
When it comes to "Green," Youfit has been "walking the walk" since its first club opened, six years ago. The company's an active supporter of "Green" living. And it's long been involved in charitable efforts in its communities.
"It's important to me that we practice what we preach," Rick Berks says. "As soon as you walk into one of our clubs, you'll see that we're committed to sustainable technology, and to a very definite 'Green' consciousness. We're excited about the opportunity to contribute to our communities on the 22nd. Certainly, it's good business. But more than that...it's just plain good!"
