PLYMOUTH, MA November 24, 2010 (Press-News.org) The lasting power of any CPA firm rests in two areas: how your staff delivers for your clients and your ability to attract young talent. Founded in 1964, Needel, Welch & Stone, PC (NWS) has been able to sustain and grow its client base because it has been able to accomplish the former while consistently replenishing its staff with young accounting talent. That includes NWS's most recent additions, Carolyn Wilson and Lauren Rogers, as staff accountants.
Originally from Merrimack, New Hampshire, Wilson graduated earlier this year with a bachelor's degree in accounting from Stonehill College. She resides with her husband Dave in Abington, Massachusetts.
"For my first job out of college, I really couldn't ask for a better situation," said Wilson. "It's a professional and friendly atmosphere and the buddy/mentoring program that's in place makes it very easy to learn."
Rogers is a lifelong resident of Weymouth, Massachusetts. She earned her undergraduate degree from Bentley College in 2010.
"What I like about NWS is that everybody has an open door policy," said Rogers. "If you have a question, everybody from the partners on down are willing to help."
In addition to their accounting duties, Rogers and Wilson have gotten involved with the firm's other activities. That includes NWS's work day at Crossroads for Kids, a local non-profit camp that hosts inner-city youth for overnights during the summer.
"Carolyn and Lauren have been excellent additions for a number of reasons, first and foremost their achievements in college. Yet they are also quality people with well-rounded backgrounds and have fit in seamlessly into our firm," said Kevin White, NWS managing principal. "As a firm, we pride ourselves as being responsive and team players. We look for that same attribute in our staff and these two live up to that standard and then some."
