UK Sofa Retailer Launches Online Store with Exclusive Range of Sofas
2011-01-21
FIFE, SCOTLAND, January 21, 2011 (Press-News.org) SofaKa.co.uk a sofa and armchair retailer based in the UK has announced the launch of their online store, they also operate a bricks and mortar furniture store in Fife, Scotland.

SofaKa.co.uk offers a wide range of leather sofas & armchairs, catering to all budgets - prices begin at just GBP139. Launching with several exclusive collections they have initially launched with 50 original styles and plan to have over 200 by March 2011.

The internet is quickly becoming the number one place for local retailers to expand their business to a larger audience. The terrible weather in the run up to Christmas 2010 showed how much shopping patterns have shifted in recent years. British internet retailers had a record breaking year* and this only looks set to increase as more people shift their shopping habits online.

Company owner Lee said: "Using the Internet to connect with customers' means that we can reach a wider audience than we have ever been able to with our store, we can now go to them instead of them coming to us."

Setting up an ecommerce store has never been easier and with recent advances in popular web publishing tools such as Wordpress & ZenCart it is set to become even easier. If you go back even just a few years' retailers would have had to hire a team of programmers and design specialists just to get online, now though with the plethora of ecommerce solutions it has never been easier for a bricks and mortar store to setup an online outlet.

www.SofaKa.co.uk owner Lee said: "We have been operating a furniture store in our hometown for decades now, last year we launched our first foray into ecommerce and it has been a raving success. If you had told me 10 years ago we would have been selling furniture to customers in London I would have laughed you out my shop but here we are delivering all sorts of furniture to customers throughout the UK."

Roughly 60% of UK households have access to an internet connection* and with the government pushing for more people to be connected, ecommerce can only continue to grow in years to come as more and more people find out about the benefits of shopping online.
